A Peek Inside My Home

I wanted to give you a peek at my dining room table and how it was set for Christmas. (Don't worry, I know that the silverware and glasses are missing....they are in the dishwasher!)

I was sitting and relaxing about a week before Christmas when on the Today show they were talking about setting your table and how to decorate it. I panicked....I realized that I needed to come up with something cute for my table. Well, I love simple, so that is the way I went.

I started with this huge red table cloth that my mom gave me (I think it was my Grandma's). I then added some snowflakes. I used the Stampin' Up snowflake punch. How quick and easy! I then decided (even though my husband laughs and calls me a dork!) to add some place cards! I love place cards and they are so fun to make and use!

I used the Broadstreet Alphabet set, snowflake punch, sparkle brads from the mini, Top Note Die, and embossing folder. I think they turned out very simple and elegant!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will soon begin 2011. Take some time to reflect on 2010 before it is gone! Does anyone have goals for 2011? Share them here!

I hope to try some new techniques with my stamping that I have not done in the past.

Happy 2010......Britni :)

Homemade Christmas

Oh, I love homemade cards (I bet you didn't know that!). This is a beautiful card that my family received from Dawn. I was so excited to see all the wonderful Stampin' Up supplies that she used.

I hope you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations. We are still busy celebrating today and Wednesday! It is the never ending Christmas celebrations! I love it!

Simple Flowers

I needed some simple and quick cards. I decided to start with Crumb Cake for a base. I then used my Just Believe stamp set and stamped the flowers in Elegant Eggplant and the words in Garden Green. I love purple and green together.

I decided it needed just a little something else, so I added some sparkle to the top with our jewels.

See it doesn't take a lot of time if you need a quick card and it can still look good. If you have the time it is always fun to layer and layer and just experiment, but there are times when we need a last minute card.

Have a wonderful Christmas weekend!

SMILE!

I love coming up with fun craft activities for my Sunday School. The easy part is that we have all girls in there right now, so they get excited about stamping!!!

For this project I used the Little Lambs stamp set which I purchased to use in Sunday School. It is perfect! I also used the two tags Big Shot die for the base of our bookmark. Then I stamped the image on Whisper White and used dimensionals to attach it to a Scallop circle. I think the girls will like keeping this in their Bible or giving one away to a friend.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a blessed day!

Little Lamb

While I had out my Green House Gala DSP I thought I could make a birthday card for one of my knitting friends. (I also made her a matching calendar!)

I used Baja Breeze for the base, then DSP, then layered the lamb with Pumpkin Pie. I also used Whisper White ribbon and Twine to top it all off.

This is a very simple card and you have probably seen me use this design before. When I put DSP as the background it makes the card quick, easy, and it really doesn't need much more.

Happy Christmas stamping! Britni :)

Calendar Time!

It is that time of year that you begin to see next year calendars for the taking. That inspires me to make some of these fun calendars. This is a great gift to give to someone for them to put on their desk. I bet they think of you each time they look at it.

I even get requests from people that I have given these to in the past to make them another one! I love it! That tells me they use it all the time.

I used the Green House Gala DSP for this project and fell in love with this paper. The catalog never does our DSP justice and I fall in love with whatever paper I order!

Let me know if you have any questions about this project and if you are in Card Club you will get to see this project up close all year long! :)

Christmas Tags

Two Tags Bigz Die is the perfect die to use for you Christmas tags. I took an afternoon to whip these up quickly. I love how they look on my wrapped Christmas gifts.

I also used the Snowflake punch, Teeny Tiny Wishes, and Many Merry Messages.

Usually you fold this tag in half, but I saw the idea on another blog that you can use DSP to cover the fold line and make a bigger tag.

I love how these turned out and I hope you have a chance to make some nice tags.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my idea.

Card Holder

I have been trying to figure out how to package cards when I give them in large amounts. I love to give away homemade cards to many different people.

I had to modify the file folder because the cards were too big to fit in those pockets. So, what I did was just to use the half fold rather than fold it four times. I love how these turned out and they didn't take much time at all.

Supplies I used were the Stampin' Up File Folders, Big Shot Alphabet Simple Letters, Antique Brads, lots of sticky strip, and some ribbon.

Have some fun with it and some for you gifts!

Build-A-Bear ~ Thank You!

Build-A-Bear! Now I am featuring a card today, but what a great gift idea for someone with little kids or for a little kid.

For this card you can see that I used pinks, the Top Note, and an embossing folder! I think they turned out cute and they were so easy to make. If you look closely I did use a pearl on the flower in her hair!

Now, for gift ideas: You could cut the build-a-bear (Big Shot die - this is only the stamp set) out of felt, paper, magnets, etc and package it together for a child. This would be a great stocking stuffer. You could also gift the stamp set with some stamp pads for the child to use. There are so many options and the Build-A-Bear stamp set and dies are too cute to pass up!

Read - File Folder

Here is another Christmas gift idea. This project can even be used to package those initial cards from last week!

This is just a file folder that has been scored and folded. Each pocket can hold whatever you would like. You could even have each pocket hold a different gift card.

This folder is for the reader in your life. The pockets hold: bookmarks, reading log, books to read, and books borrowed.

Initial Cards: Part Two

Here is the second part of my initial cards that I promised! I took the same technique as the other cards. As you can see they are similar, yet different at the same time. I used some of the same sized paper and punches, but still made it look like a different card.

I also used the Crumb Cake envelopes since this card had some Chocolate Chip on it.

You could make several sets of these in one afternoon. Who would appreciate a set of cards from you this Christmas season?

Initial Cards: Part One

Today and Friday I would like to share some initial cards with you. This is a quick, easy, but very useful gift idea!

This is a great gift for anyone that loves to send cards. They can use them for thank yous or just thinking of you cards! All I did was searched through my closet for colors that reminded me of the recipients and found some DSP that coordinated.

Don't forget the coordinated envelopes so they are ready to send them! Package them up or just tie a ribbon around them and you have a very nice, thoughtful, and homemade gift!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)
