Turtle Time!

I was so inspired after I decided to make a card using my Scallop Circle Big Shot Die.

I placed the paper that was folded in half so that it would become a card instead of two separate pieces. I then used my circle punch to punch four circles to place behind the turtle that I stamped. I stamped the turtle and words and then punched them out with my Scallop Circle Punch.

This very cute turtle is from the NEW stamp set called Fox and Friends. The words are from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Now, I did add ribbon to this card because I thought it needed a little more, but if this were for a boy I probably would leave the ribbon off.

I hope you have a chance to make a card using some of your Big Shot Dies soon!

Happy Hearts!

Oh I love how this card turned out. This card is nothing like how I planned it to be.

I cut my Real Red Card stock and then cut my beautiful Sending Love DSP....as I was cutting the DSP I thought oh I love both sides, but I really want the sparkly side to be prominent. That is when I decided to tear it and show both sides. I loved it!!!

I then stamped the heart from A Happy Heart stamp set. I tried several different places and it just didn't look right, so I knew I had to tear all the sides and that did the trick.

If you could see this card in person you could see the wonderful sparkles on the flowers.

Get ready for Valentine's Day because it will be here before you know it!

Happy Planning! Britni :)

Flower Fun!

I have a workshop and a Make and Take coming up the next two weekends and this is one of the cards that I am featuring. I am doing this card at the workshop because it is a quick and simple card for stampers at all different stages.

For this card I used the beautiful Rich Razzelberry In-Color paper. I love purple shades and I course love this color!

I then got out my Big Shot to cut out the Scallop Square. I stamped flowers from the New stamp set called Vintage Vogue. I used Rich Razzelberry and Silver and then used Basic Black for the words.

I am not sure if you can see it, but I used the Wheel that matches this stamp set for the background of this. I love how quick and easy this cards comes together.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

On a Pedestal

The title tells you it all! It is a birthday cake/wish on a pedestal.

I decided to get this set because it was a great birthday set. We usually can't get enough birthday cards and I have requests from my Mom and Grandmum that they need more birthday cards!

I had some long open end envelopes left from another project so I designed this card so that these envelopes could be used. I used More Mustard and Perfect Plum for my base colors. I love how the Eyelet Border punch coordinates with the base of the cake holder. I did use markers for this image to get all the different colors.

You can also see that I did not forget about my envelope, it also coordinates with the card.

Needing birthday cards? I hope this inspires you to get out your birthday sets and make some cards!

Quick Valentine Party Gift

While we are on the subject of Valentine's Day here is another really cute and quick gift to make.

I used the Sending Love DSP from the mini. I cut it large enough to wrap around the sucker. (Okay so at first I cut it longer than I wanted and that is why there are scallops along the edge, I think it worked out, though.). I scored 3 inches in on each side so there would be a base for the sucker to sit on.

The stamp set I used is the same as the card and it is called Whoo's Your Valentine? I stamped the image, punched it out using my 1 3/4 circle punch, and then punched the center circle using my 1 1/4 circle punch. How perfect, I didn't have to do any cutting. I glued that onto the DSP. I then placed a glue dot on the bottom of the sucker and on the top edges of the paper to close the sucker in there. You could do several of these quickly and your child could help you make these! That would be a fun project together!

You could also make these and take them to work to set on your co-workers' desks. That would be a nice surprise! Be Creative!

Choo! Choo! Here Comes Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day is less than a month away. If you are needing to make Valentine's you better start thinking about that.

I made a very simple card that your child could easily make for his/her entire class. He/She would love to color in the train image.

The stamp set I used for this is called Whoo's Your Valentine? When I saw the train with this set, I knew I had to have it. It is adorable. Also for this card I used several NEW products from the mini - Sending Love DSP (it has glitter already on it!), Sending Love Epoxy brads, and a newly designed Scallop Trim Corner Punch.

The Real Red and Pretty in Pink are perfect for Valentine's Day!

Thanks for stopping by and if you need help designing cards, please let me know and I can get you on the right track in times for Valentine's Day!

Sympathy Card

I have had a request for a lot of basic cards and cards that we need quickly at times. This is one of those cards, so at my last Card Club this was one of my featured cards. This is a design of mine that came together nicely.

I borrowed my Mom's stamp set called Thoughts and Prayers from the regular SU catalog. I got out my markers and colored in the image using Old Olive, Cameo Coral, and Chocolate Chip.

Around the image I used the ticket corner punch to frame it and I also framed it with Chocolate Chip paper.

I also wanted to show you the inside of this card. I always try to remember to stamp the insides of my cards so they are ready when I want to use them. I love how the flowers coming off the side point right to the words. LOVE IT!

This is such a versatile and gorgeous set to use. The stamp set does all the work and we just have to put it to paper!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!

Vintage Vogue - New Mini Feature

Okay, so you know a card is good when Justin walks in and says, "That is a really nice card!" He truly meant it, too. I love how he supports my crafts!

I designed this card all by myself and I always love when I do that. I got Kraft, Rich Razzelberry, and Very Vanilla paper. I then knew I wanted to use the Chocolate Chip Ribbon and stamp pad.

On the bottom of the card I used the new wheel from the mini called Very Vintage. I used my grid paper to help me line it up. I love this wheel and hope to use it a lot more in the future.

I tore the bottom of my Rich Razzelberry paper and also distressed the edges. I then used the set Vintage Vogue that coordinates with the wheel to stamp the image Friends and distressed the edges. Along the edge of the Razzelberry I did stamp the words Life happens. Love helps, but you can't really see it very well.

Along the top I used my Chocolate Chip ribbon and slid it through the Flower Ribbon slide which is from my Hodgepodge Hardware Very Vanilla set. This card has a lot going on, but it came together so nicely.

I hope you are inspired to design your own card today, too!

Happy Designing! Britni :)

Flowers! Flowers!

Want to make some of these? This is what you will need: Big Shot, Big Shot Flower Folds Die, Fabric (I wish SU sold fabric!), hot glue gun, buttons, and pins for the back.

WOW! What a ton of fun it was to make these with my Mom. I saw this idea on a couple of other blogs and I just knew I wanted to make some for myself. I spent an evening coordinating fabric (I just used scraps I had) and then I cut all the flowers out. You need four different fabrics and then to cut each size flower out of each fabric. I had the flowers all ready and took them over to my Mom's house. She helped me hot glue all these together. We sure were happy when we were done, but we also had beautiful flowers to look at.

These would be great on top of a package, wear on your winter coat, use as a shawl/scarf pin. I just love how the layers of fabric just give it some dimension.

Now for the buttons...we used SU buttons. We layered some and left others just as one. I think they all turned out very nicely.

Let me know if you have any questions. If you are really interested in making some of these watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/justasip#p/u/3/8grlYIX5N5Y
This video shows you what pieces you need and how to put them all together. It is really great!

I hope you have enjoyed my project today. I sure love my flowers!

Hope Coaster

I used two of my Decor Elements from this pack on my frames that you saw on Wednesday. I then used hope on a coaster. This coaster was the only one that I had left in the bottom of my drawer and I thought it would look great with a word on it. How cute! I think a whole set would even be better with the words - hope, faith, love, and life.

What a quick gift, again! If only we can remember this at Christmas time next year! :)

Thanks for checking into today! I hope you are enjoying my projects!

Frames

I was able to take some time and use of my NEW stamp sets from the NEW MINI! The set is called Vintage Vogue. I sponged on the pink to the background and then stamped the flowers along the top and the border along the bottom. I then applied the word love, which is a Decor Element! I love how it fits so nicely on there.

For my second frame I used the same stamp set and used the word faith. I love how this one looks great in just black and white.

This is a simple project that would make a great gift. I purchased the frames at our local chain store in the craft department. They are reasonably priced and then add some details and you have a great gift!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you New Year is getting off to a great start!

Snowflake Thank You

A simple thank you card is always nice. I wanted some thank you cards to send to friends and family, so I wanted something that would be quick and easy to make since I was making several at one time.

I decided to use my new Scallop Square Big Shot Die. I love this die because it is clear and you can see exactly what you are cutting out if you need to. I then stamped some snowflakes in Bermuda Bay. I stamped the words thank you using my silver stamp pad. I love my silver and gold stamp pads. They really add to a card.

I then attached the scallop square onto Bermuda Bay card stock. I was done....except for the inside. I did stamp some more snowflakes and thank you again.

I know I have said this before, but I love my Big Shot! It makes card making fun, quick, and easy!

Happy Stamping!
