Totally Tess

Check out this new set! Okay, so I really didn't have to get this one, but I love it! This set is in the back of the new mini and of course they made her have red hair in the mini so of course it made me want to get it even more!

This set comes along with all the great SU supplies that we use and the girl can even wear an apron like I do at my events. Then the basket just topped it off. I am a crafter that loves to carry my things in a basket...if only I could find one big enough!

I can't wait for you to have a chance to use this set. Oh, I almost forgot. Check out the corners behind Tess...that is the new corner punch! I love it!

Have a wonderful last few days of 2009! My next post will be all about the New Year and my upcoming events!

Happy and Goodbye 2009!

Calendar Blocks

Look at this cute calendar! Now, I saw this idea on one of my blogs that I check. I loved it so I had to make one for myself.

For this project I used our Decor Element Blocks. They are awesome and I would use them again. They are very sturdy. I also used two calendar kits. This way I could use the calendar side and then the pretty side for the sides of the blocks.

I ran the calendar pieces through my Big Shot using texture plates. I then cut out several coordinating Big Shot pieces to decorate the sides. I just love how it all came together! This would have made great Christmas gifts, but I just didn't get mine made quick enough. You can only get the calendar kits until January 4th, but the Blocks will continue into the New Year.

I hope this inspires you to make some!

Happy Creating! Britni :)

New Punch!

Here is the new punch. I got one so we can try it out and see what we think. I took a picture from several angles so you can see how it looks. We will for sure be using this in January! I can't wait to give it a try. I am wondering if these might not be easier on our hands and wrists! Oh do we remember the trouble we were having at December Card Club with the snowflake...that is a hard one to punch!

Well, this is the last of the previews...hopefully next time you see any of this it will be in card form or you will actually be touching it!

:)

Don't forget about my contest to win the stamp set. You have until Christmas Day to answer the question!

New Stamp Sets

Check it out! Get excited! I know I am really excited to get into these sets. I didn't even take time to put them together. I wanted to get them on here so you can see them! We have some great sets coming up in the new mini. I just could not resist to get some of them. I splurged a little, but it is all for you and so that you can try these out and see what you like. If you can see the top two, those are my fave right now. I love the little animals. Then Totally-Tess is adorable...I can't wait to use that one.

I hope you are enjoying this little preview. As I said all of this is starting in January. Let's just get through the holiday first, right? Then we can think about new items. :)

New! New! New!

Oh my goodness! I can't wait for you to see this paper in person. This is the paper that will be in the new mini coming out in January. It is just in time for some Valentine fun! I hope you can see the details! It has glitter on it! For those of us that love glitter but don't really like to get it everywhere...here is the answer. I know my mom will love this paper (She loves glitter!).

Now check out those brads! I see a card coming along, but I just don't have time to put it together right now. I can't wait for you to be able to use these products! I got them all for you!!!

Alright...well since it is so close to Christmas time I am going to do a giveaway. See the hostess set below that is what you will be able to win (if you win and already have this set...we will work something out). All you have to do is leave me a message on my blog and tell me one homemade gift that you made this Christmas season to give to someone special! I can't wait to read all about them!

Jumbo Binder Clip

Here is a great teacher gift or stocking stuffer. It is so quick and easy. All you need are some Jumbo Binder Clips. I added some DSP to the black part. I then used my Scallop circle punch and circle punches to layer my flowers. I then tied some ribbon to keep it all together and bring the colors together. For this project I used our wonderful in-colors. (sorry the picture isn't the greatest. I run out of wonderful daylight sometimes before I get my pictures taken.)

Now what do you do with this you ask....well you can use it as a recipe holder, a picture, holder, or anything that is light weight that will stay in there.

Let me know if you have any questions of how I put this together.

Happy Christmas Planning! Britni :)

Gift Pack

Looking for another quick gift project? Here is a great idea! All you need is a small notepad and a pen. Cover the notepad with some pretty paper or paper you have stamped. Add some ribbon. Then place paper inside the pen (the kind that twists out and has tube that paper can go in). Then gift wrap it all together with a matching tag! You are set and ready to go. This is also a project that you make several at one time pretty quickly.

Let me know if you have any questions.

More Coasters!

Here are some beautiful coasters! Several of these are winter/Christmas which would be a great for a hostess when you attend a Christmas party!

These coasters were done by Maggie, Shani, and Tina. Each of them were very creative and came up with something new and different.

Well, we have come to the end of the coaster feature. Next week I will also have another great gift idea as Christmas quickly approaches. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.

Happy Creating! Britni :)

Crystal's Coasters!

Crystal loves her Halloween! As you can see these coasters were a work in progress as I took pictures of them. I love to see the artist at work!

My coaster class is one of my favorite because you have to figure out what to do rather than have my sample to copy!!! I love to see what everyone comes up with. Do you have a Halloween lover that you are looking for a gift? Well, here are some great coaster ideas.

She was also working with Dasher for a few of her coasters.

Happy Gifting this December! Britni

Mom's Coasters!

My mom had some specific people in mind when she was making her coasters. She wanted to make some for the secretaries at the elementary school and the principal. The eagle turned out great. She then wanted to make some for her brother and sister-in-law so they are the recipients of the Farm Life coasters.

Now my favorite of the evening were the Basic Black Medallion coasters. I liked them so much that I had her make me some, too. I love how the Medallion fills the entire coaster and you can see all the great details.

Let me know if you need helping making some coasters. Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Coasters with Fall Pictures

Starting today and going through next week I will be showcasing the work of my coaster class. Coasters are also a wonderful Christmas gift. All you need are Stazon or Craft stamp pads. Then bake them in the oven and then coat them. Let me know if you have any questions.

Several of the ladies at my class decided to use Lovely As a Tree to decorate their coasters. Take a minute to check these out and maybe you will be inspired!

Cute Mini Sticky Note Pad

What a cute gift! That is what I thought when I saw these. I had company over the Thanksgiving weekend I ran out of time to make something for the two young girls that visited. Well, lucky for me I was able to go to a craft show and my upline, Georgia was there. She had a wonderful booth set up and these were something she was selling. How adorable are these Build-A-Bears?

They girls loved them and were excited that sticky notes were inside!!! What a great surprise.

This is just another great quick gift idea and even quicker if you get it at a craft show!!!

Flower Big Shot Die

Christmas is approaching quickly and for those of us that like to make homemade gifts....this could be considered panic time. I have several done, but just a few more to go myself.

Here is a quick project to put on a gift bag or wrap up and give as a great gift.

This was given to me by my upline, Georgia. Thanks Georgia! She cut out the flowers using the Big Shot and the flower die. She then had her Grandma help her sew around the edges. Georgia then attached them all together by sewing on a SU button.

I of course have ordered this die, because I decided that I just had to have it! I hope to make some of these in the near future.

Don't stress...just take your time and figure out what simple homemade gift everyone on your list would like.

Happy Gift Making! Britni :)

Gift Wrapping 2009

Christmas is quickly approaching and time to start thinking about how to wrap those gifts.

This is the box, ribbon, and tag that I used for my coaster class. The ladies were able to have a perfect box to gift wrap their coasters of another gift for Christmas.

I purchased these boxes as a local store and then used SU Real Red ribbon, Whisper White ribbon, and Old Olive cardstock for the tag. The tag was cut on the Big Shot machine using the Two Tags Die.

Make your gift wrapping quick and easy during this busy time.

Happy Wrapping!!!! Britni :)

Oen's Quilt

Okay, this is a non-stamping day! I had to share my quilt with everyone. I have for sure decided that I like quick sewing projects. I started this and didn't finish it until about 6 months later. I like quick weekend projects better.....but then once it was finished I thought wow I actually made this and I could do this again.

So, how this started....
My mom purchased this ducky fabric awhile ago and the quilt was then designed around that. My mother-in-law wrote the pattern and helped me put it all together.

I love how it turned out and I really hope Oen loves it!

Thanks for stopping by today. Come back Wednesday for more Christmas ideas!

Last, but not least

Here is Teresa's bag! She did different fabric than the other ladies and I kept the beige bag for hers. I think it turned out very nice. She used her extra small scallop circles and also a brad!

Great job, Teresa!

I hope you have enjoyed the week of bags. Take some time and make some for yourself or even as a Christmas present. What a great way to gift wrap a present. They can reuse it after the holidays!

More Bags!

Here are more bags from my last Big Shot night! Check out the post from Monday to see how we made these!

The "P" bag is Pam's bag. I love how great the blue jean looks with the fabric. Great job putting it all together, Pam!

The "C" bag is Crystal's bag. Great job being creative!

Like I said, it was so much fun each month getting together and learning about the Big Shot together. They taught me as much as I taught them!

Bags Galore!

What a great job my Big Shot ladies did on our last night of meeting. It was a great 4 months of learning as they got to purchase their Big Shot and learn about it all at the same time. I hope they had as much fun as I did each month. Well, since everything needs a great finish, I thought I would have the ladies make a very cute bag as their last project. These turned out even better than a imagined. To make these bags we (okay my mom) ironed on backing to the fabric, then each person cut out their pieces. They then decided how they wanted to place their pieces and used fabric glue to glue them on.

The "B" bag is my mom's bag. She came up with the idea to add brads! How cute!

The "D" bag is Dee's bag! She got fancy on the back of hers! Great job!

I love how versatile the Big Shot is and that you can do more than just make cards or scrapbook with it. Watch out purses.....here we come. We are ready to try out hand at something a little more complicated now!

Come back Wednesday for more pics of more bags!!!!

Embossing Folder

I love this card!!!! What makes this card look great is the embossing folder I used for this card. The in-colors make it look really nice, too. I love the Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo combination.

As you can see it didn't take much to make this card. I embossed the Melon layer. I then used my circle punch and Scallop Circle punch to frame the words which I put on the card with a dimensional. I then added ribbon along the edge to bring it all together. I have started to layer my ribbon and it adds an extra dimension.

Happy In-color stamping! Britni :)

Sewing Friends

Not a Christmas Card....crazy!

Well, I used Puns from the Past for this card. I do love this set because because of this stamp. I love the antique sewing machine.

I layered Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Certainly Celery. Using the Spiral Punch along the edge gave me a nice place to put the ribbon through. I kept this card simple and sweet. Cards don't have to be complicated to look good.
