Boy Bookmark

I had a request for some boyish things at my Open Houses. Now that is hard for me. I really don't purchase very many boy stamp sets. That is something that I need to work on, though. I do have some nephews that would appreciate that when I make them cards and other things.

For this bookmark, I used my texture plate with polka dots. As you can see it is on as defined as the bookmark from the other day. On the bottom part I stamped the lion from Fox and Friends which is in the mini. You can order from that until April 30th (not very many more days).

I also left the ribbon off of this one since boys aren't really into frills. I thought they might appreciate that!

Thanks for stopping by this week and seeing some bookmark ideas. Come back Friday for a look ahead into May specials and events.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Girlie Bookmark

Check out this new embossing folder I just got! I was pretty excited after the first time I used it. It is called Finial Press and it is in the regular catalog. I love how the embossing folders give the paper so much texture and depth. I now want to own all of the folders! At least they aren't that expensive and they only take thet Big Shot and the platform to use them.

Using up some of my Bold Brights I thought I would go with Pink Passion for this card. I love those bright pinks in the bold brights, but I have to let go of them since they are leaving.

This bookmark turned out very girlie and I am guessing any young girl would love to receive one of these. Take some time to make a some quick bookmarks. It doesn't take any time at all and you can make several at once. I was able to stick to bookmarks in the embossing folder at once side by side.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Small Composition Notebook and Pen

Okay now don't get too excited....this is retired paper, but I had some left over and just enough to cover several of these small sized composition books. I also thought it would be perfect to put a little paper inside the pen to coordinate.

To start this project I measured my notebook and started with the base color. I then layer from there. I am usually inspired by my layers to add brads and ribbons at the end.

With these notebooks I did package them in a cute bag tied with a ribbon. That way it is ready to give as a gift. I think it is so important to take the time to make a gift you are giving your personal touch. Let's just say a grocery bag is not really that personl (unless you have decorated it!). Even as simple as taking the notebook and pen and tieing a big bow around both of them would be great! It is the little things in life that mean so much to us or at least to me.

Those small touches are always meaningful. I had someone tell me the other day that they would rather receieve a homemade gift that cost the person $5 to make rather than a gift card or really expensive gift. I have to agree with her. All the thought that goes into a homemade gift is always wonderful! That is why I have so much fun making homemade gifts with my stamping and knitting skills. It is a gift that God gave to me and I am able to share it by making things for others!

Well, I guess I went on and on today. :) I hope you enjoyed this simple gift idea. Have a wonderful day!

Post-It Note Holders

I had so much fun making these cute little gifts. These go so quick and I was able to make several in a short amount of time. Inside there are post-it notes. Who can't use a post-it? Okay, so maybe I use more than I should, but they just come in so handy!

As you can see I found some nice flower stamps, bright colors, and big ribbon. It all comes together nicely. These are so nice to keep in my purse and craft bag so I can jot down a quick note to myself.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this project.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Manly Birthday

Well, I have been digging out some colors that will be leaving us and making some cards. That is the only way to cope with my sadness of some of my favorite colors leaving!

For this card I used Close to Cocoa, Garden Green, and Not Quite Navy. I made this card simple for the simple men in our life. The men don't care about all the frill. I do know that my husband does appreciate the gesture of a homemade card. He loves when I do a new design and always likes to see what I am working on.

This card could easily be used for a thank or even Father's Day. I love this classic stamp set with all the trees. It makes making manly cards even easier at times.

Well, have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by. Leave me a note about what you have been working on. It has been awful quiet in my comment section lately!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Mother's Day

This card's supplies are from the Mini. The stamp set for Mom, the Designer Paper (Shades of Spring), and the beautiful ribbon!!!

This stamp set is so nice for Mother's Day. It also includes sayings for Birthday and other occasions so you can use it beyound Mother's Day!

Also, for this card I used my Two Tags Big Shot Die to frame my the words Mom. You can also see from the picture that I folded this one a little differently. Moms are very special people so they deserve an extra special card!

Gear up for Mother's Day by making something special for mom or for yourself if you are a mom.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Flower Clip

I have had these beautiful flowers for awhile and thought I should get them out again to use. These felt flowers are from the regular catalog. They are called Flower Fusion!

These flowers are great for 3-D objects or even to put on cards or scrapbook pages.

For this project I just a Jumbo Paper Clip and the Clear Rhinestone brads to attach this flower to the clip. It was a little tricky to get it tight enough on there, but I got it!

As I said, I have had these flower for awhile and used them on several projects. You get a lot of flowers with these and at times you think they are growing right there in the tin. :)

I hope you enjoyed this project idea. Have a wonderful Monday and a great week!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Sweetest Ever

Say goodbye to this adorable card. I am having a hard time saying goodbye to my current Bold Brights. That is the first color family I purchased as a whole when I first became a demonstrator almost two years ago!

In this card I used Green Gable, Pink Passion, and Orchid Opulence which are all going to leave once the new catalog arrives.

This stamp set is a level 3 hostess set in the current catalog. I love how it makes such cute cards. I can't say that this is a quick card, though. It takes awhile to add all those colors to the cupcakes. It sure is fun to use those markers, though!

So, if you love these colors get them while you still can!

Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a wonderful stamping day!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Bear

I made this card a long time ago, but it got pushed to the bottom of the blog pile.

This card would be great for an upcoming cookout or even a little boy's birthday card. That is the great thing about this stamp set is that it is versatile.

The colors I used for this card: Summer Sun, Always Artichoke, Kraft, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, and Creamy Caramel.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Mini Notebooks!

I still can not believe that it is April already. Can someone tell me where the first three months of this year went? WOW! Before we know it, it will be Summer!

I wanted to share a few more small notebooks that I made for my last Open House. These went really fast. I love using the bigger ribbon on them and doing different colors. These are so simple and easy to make. A little layering and some ribbon, then you are done.

A lot of women were buying these and they went straight into their purse. I carry one in my purse so that I can jot down notes at stores or if I get a phone call in the car. These come in very handy.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you are having a wonderful start to April!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)
