Justin's Bday

Justin had a birthday last month and he received this beautiful card from my Mom. She used such warm and rich colors that coordinated with a scrapbook kit she had. (I should have show you the inside, because she used some of the kit in there, too.) I love how she kept layering on top of the Top Note to really make the image and words pop. This card is just gorgeous!

She also added some thick ribbon which should could do since she was hand delivering the card.

Thanks for this beautiful inspiration, Mom!

Have a Seat...

I have had my eye on this stamp set for awhile, but I had not gotten around to purchasing it. I finally decided to get it. I love it's simplicity. I also love that the chairs and bench look like antiques, there is just something about antique furniture that I love.

I used my Big Shot for the scallop square. It was the perfect size for this card. I started with Sahara Sand as the background. I then added Always Artichoke and Night of Navy. For the words I used my Teeny Tiny Wishes. Then sticking with the antique theme I used my Antique brads to finish it off.

I wanted this card to be able to be used for a man if someone needed a man card. Those are so hard to come by when we make flowery cards all the time!

I hope you love this stamp set as much as I do !

Variety

I like to provide variety at some of my events and that is exactly what I did here. I made it easy on myself and cut all the paper the same, but just changed the image.

The choice here was a Mother's Day card or a just for you. I used the cute Mother's Day stamp out of the mini and the Elizabeth stamp form the regular catalog on the under $10 page. I also used my Teeny Tiny Wishes again so that the card could be used for any occasion.

Okay, I have to get to my favorite part of this card, the embossing folder....have I told you how much I love them!? I do have all of them now, until the new mini comes out with one, but I will get that right away!

This one is called Vintage Wallpaper. When this came out of the Big Shot, I said "WOW!" The impression is just gorgeous. You can see that here, but wait until you feel it!

I needed something to bring it all together, so I added some Basic Gray taffeta ribbon. I like how it kept it simple, but elegant. Oh, the colors I used were Rose Red and Elegant Eggplant for the rest of the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have some variety in your life! :)

Easter Wishes

I decided not to purchase the Easter stamp set this year. I really loved it, but I decided to get some supplies rather than a stamp set. Oh the decisions we have to make! I pulled out my Awash with Flowers stamp set that I have not used for awhile. I also wanted to do a refresher course with the Stamp-A-ma-jig for my Card Club ladies (if you have not used one of these before let me know and I will show you at my next event).

I used So Saffron and Regal Rose, some very springy colors along with Old Olive to make this card. I also added some pearls for elegance. As you can see I folded this card a little different and added some paper on the bottom.

I always forget to take a picture of the inside of my cards, but as most of you know I try not to forget about the inside. I like to stamp a coordinating image in there along with my envelopes.

Since this was not an Easter set I used my Teeny Tiny Wishes set to stamp Happy Easter. This is another set that I use all the time.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Baby Shower Thank Yous

Making thank yous to give as a baby shower gift is just so much fun! Now wait, though, I used DSP on this card....can you honestly believe it?! I seem to be using it a lot lately. This DSP, Play Date, was just too perfect for this. The colors of this babies nursery are brown and green, so I thought this would work nicely. I also used my Fox and Friends stamp set. It comes in handy for a cute little animal.

As you can see I just used an Old Olive base, added the DSP on top, and then layered the image. I used Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, and then Whisper White. I used a variety of the animals and stamped Thanks on each one. I can't tell you how fast these cards went. Once I got the design in my head, I just started cutting card stock. After I finished six cards and envelopes (don't forget the coordinating envelopes!) I decided to make six more to have on hand. I know I will be making more baby shower thank yous for a couple other friends this year. I hope they enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them for them.

Life, Love...

Same card, same colors, same stamp set. See how you can just keep stamping and stamping and stamping......

I know you all understand!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Just For You!

As you can see I am having some scraps that work as stripes for a card. I wanted to use the pieces that were just floating around on my table so I cut a few more and made this design.

How simple can it be?! I love to make simple cards (they are also easier to mail that way!)

I used the same Vintage Vogue stamp set with Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Early Espresso for the words. This card would work great for many occasions so that is why I chose to say "just for you." It can sit in my card box and be ready for that last minute card.

Friends

Are you tired of this DSP yet? I'm not! You will get to see a few more cards with it this week. (I just have to say that I still have some left and when I make these cards I make several at a time!)

I needed to send a couple friends a thinking of you card so I used Vintage Vogue for this card. The flowers in the background were fun to stamp with two different colors (daffodil delight and tangerine tango) and I really made the Friends stand out by using Early Espresso. I also used Early Espresso on the words at the bottom of the card. For the DSP I just cut a strip the size I wanted, tore it in half, and used both sides. I like the texture it gives to the card.

I hope you get time to stamp this week.

Thank You Flower

Here we are again with this lovely In-Color DSP. As you can see I did about the same with it on the bottom of this card. I just changed the image because I need a lot of thank you cards for that week.

I just have to say that it is so much fun to sit down, make a bunch of cards, and then mail them all out right away. I love it! We have to keep the post office open some how. :)

I used one of my top two favorite stamp sets. This has been int he catalog for awhile and I just really still can't get enough of it. It is called Inspired by Nature. I colored my stamp with Old Olive and Daffodil Delight (background color) and then stamped the image. I also stamped the Thank You (Thank You Kindly stamp set - I have used this so much since I got it recently) with Chocolate chip.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

DSP Baby

I spent some more time with my In-Color DSP pack. It is amazing how many cards you can get out of a small package. I love it!

I needed to make some cute and quick cards to send out that week, so I got to work. For this card I used my Baby Bundle stamp set as I wanted to send a card to one of my friends who is expecting. I added a little DSP at the bottom and a jumbo brad. Simple, but cute.

Check back tomorrow for another idea with the same DSP.

Button Bracelets

These were so fun to make. Mom and I spent a weekend together when our guys were out of town. We had so much fun making these bracelets.

All they take are some beautiful Stampin' Up buttons and stretchy jewelry cord.

You can make two bracelets out of one container of buttons and we even had some buttons left over.

I am considering doing a class so leave a comment if you would be interested in a class.

Thanks for stopping by. I can't believe it is April already!

Yarny Lamb

Here was the other card that we made that day (the one with the knitting needles). There was a request to add yarn to the card so I came up with a couple of cards and I like the one with the knitting needles because then we would actually get to knit at our stamping day, too!

The knitting needles are toothpicks! How simple and cute.

There is always something fun that you can throw on a card to make it different and unique. What ideas do you have for different supplies to use?

Thank you for stopping by this week! Have a wonderful weekend!
