Rose Red: Part Three

The last day of my featured Pocket Silhouettes and Rose Red is today.

If you remember back to Monday, this card is similar in some ways. I used the tearing effect on this card and I used the ticket corner punch. I have used the ticket corner punch on all of my cards. I just love how it enhances the framing of the image. I did do some tearing because the card was too crisp for my taste. I like my cards to have some texture and different elements to them to draw your eye all the way around the card.

I used Rose Red ribbon, but again I could have easily used Chocolate Chip.

Send me your samples that I have inspired you to make after this week long feature!

Rose Red: Part Two

Here we are for Day Two!

As you can see I used the same colors as Monday. I would say that this card is very very simple. I did not use many layers, but at times that is okay with me.

I stamped the background to give it a feel of another layer. I almost always do layer behind my words and image, though. That helps the most important part of the card stand out.

I did use the Rose Red ribbon for this card, but I also think it would look great with the Chocolate Chip, too.

I hope my cards are inspiring you to go and choose a set and some colors and make some of your own.

Rose Red: Part One

This week I am featuring the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set. Each day I am featuring a different card using the same set and colors.

I have used Kraft, Chocolate Chip, and Rose Red.

As you can see I stamped one of the flowers on the background. That is probably my favorite flower of the set. I then layered the top flower and message with some more Rose Red and a torn piece of Kraft. I filled in that empty space with some Chocolate Chip ribbon.

Now the tearing technique for me sometimes works as an embellishment. Where I would have put a brad I could just tear and it gives you another texture and element for the card.

Thanks for stopping by on Day One!

Featured Artist: My Mom!

My mom has also been stamping a lot of cards lately. She has some friends at school that are having babies or are new grandparents so she made these adorable cards for some of them. I love all of them. I love how she layered all the different colors. She then even took the time to coordinate an envelope with the card. I love how that brings it all together and it has to make the person feel so special!

Thanks for stopping by today for my featured artist!

With Sympathy

The stamp sets used for this card are Pocket Silhouettes and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

I wanted to make a Sympathy card, but I didn't want to make it look to drab. I used Kraft, Chocolate Chip, and then Rose Red to give it that pop, but a subtle pop.

I think simple Sympathy cards are always great and then easy to make several at one time.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Corner Bookmarks

I have been stamping like a crazy lady lately. I have just really been inspired by the new DSP in the mini. I love all of it!

I decided to use the Sending Love DSP to make some corner fold bookmarks. I have made these before and they are such a quick, easy, and fun project to make. They are great to stick in a card or on a corner of a book that you are gifting.

I have not used brads on them before and I love how they turned out. I had some larger brads and my flower brads left over from another project.

I hope you enjoyed this project! This is something that you can make with scraps and left over supplies you have. Just cut the square 4 X 4 and you are ready to go!

Simply Adorned

Check it out! I love it, well of course it is silver, so I knew I would love it!

Stampin' Up has finally released their jewelry line called Simply Adorned. The mini lists all of the possible items that you can order. Shown in the picture is the Bracelet and 5/8" Circle Charm.

Now the charms are all two sided and open easily, but stay closed when you want them closed. For this charm I used my 1/2" circle punch and used some DSP to fill my charm.

Please let me know if you would like to see the bracelet or the necklace. Between my mom and I we have samples of all the different items.

Birthday Bird!

Pun Fun is a set that I have not had out of the closet for awhile, but I knew I had to get it out when Julia's birthday came along.

This is one of Julia's favorite sets and I was also inspired by her wedding colors to use blues and browns. I also add a splash of Cameo Coral.

I hope she enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it!

R.A.K. - Random Act of Kindness

What a great surprise to come home to a surprise card when I get home from work. My upline and friend Georgia sent me a Random Act of Kindness card. She knew I loved this stamp set and thought I would appreciate the card. I of course did!

Georgia used all kinds of wonderful supplies for this card. She used her Big Shot, Circle Cutter, Totally Tess stamp set, and the beautiful Valentine DSP from the new mini.

Thanks Georgia!!!!

Last Minute Valentine Idea

My mom and I worked on these the other night. This is a quick and easy project that you can make for some friends or even with your kids for their classroom. It ends up looking like a matchbox. We used sticky strip to keep it together at the bottom. They can eat the candy right out of the card if they want.

Let me know if you have any questions about this project!

Kangaroo Fun!

This is a stamp set that I have overlooked for too long. I was flipping through my catalog and decided it was time to get this set. I love that it can be used for many different occasions.

The kangaroo is so cute and there are many items that will fit in the pouch.

For this card I put some presents in her pouch. How cute is that?!

This card was quick, easy, and simple. Sometimes we don't have a lot of time to make a card or don't have embellishments that coordinate. Just use your paper and color to make it what you want it to be. Be Creative!

Cupcake!

On a Pedestal is such a fun stamp set. I really enjoyed making this card. I used so many different products with this card and I think it really paid off.

I started with Kraft as my base then put the Chocolate Chip through my Big Shot using my texture plates. I then added a scalloped edge with Bermuda Bay, one of my other coordinating colors.

I then layered on top of my Melon Mambo ribbon the Bermuda Bay and the stamped image.

I of course used markers to color in the image and stamp it onto the Whisper White. This is how I was able to get the different colors. Then to top it all off I added some silver brads.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my idea for today. Let me know if you have any questions!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)
