Printed Windwo Sheet: Part Two

It is so much fun to add embellishments to these window sheets. As you can see I used the same color scheme on this card as I did on Monday (check back for those details).

For this card I added some of our beautiful flower brads to accent the flowers on the window sheet. I also did some layering with my circle punches and also my Curly Label Punch.

Check back on Friday for a great give-a-way!!!

Thanks for stopping by and of course if you have any questions please ask!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Printed Window Sheets: Part One

WOW! I love these printed window sheets from our Occasions Mini Catalog. Take a look at page 10 in the mini. The catalog does not do them justice. They are really great!

I had a lot of fun putting this card and my blog card for Wednesday together.

I started with a Baja Breeze base and then my first layer I used some Chocolate Chip Parisian Breeze DSP. I then placed the window sheet over the paper using glue dots. I then decided to add some words to the front of my card. I layered more of the Parisian Breeze DSP to go behind my words. I love how it all turned out!

You can get some of these great windwo sheets for yourself. They are really worth it.

Thanks for stopping by today. As I said, stop by again on Wednesday and you will see another example of the printed window sheets.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Happy Birthday Card

Hello Hello! I am glad you stopped by today.

I have another card from Justin's birthday. This is the card that I made him. His first favorite stamp set is Loads of Love because he loves the truck. His second favorite is Blooming With Love because of the the stamp that I used for this card. I also got my inspiration as my mom did from the Prestwick DSP (retired) - great minds think alike I guess :). I knew he would love this stamp so I also thought about what colors I woulds use with it. I loved how all the colors came together and the card stayed manly. I decided to add a little embellishment with the black brad on the wheel and I wrapped twien around the cardstock three times to get that look. I also used my ticket corner punch to add more dimension. Remember with men keep it simple....they don't always appreciate the work that goes into a homemade card.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog! I really appreciate it. Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Justin's Tree

Hello Crafters! Don't forget that I love to see what you are working on in your own craft rooms. I love the inspiration and designs from you, too. Send them my way!

Justin's birthday was in March and here is a great card that he received from my parents. Okay so mostly from my Mom....she did all the work anyways.

For this card she used some Prestwick DSP (retired) which works great for a manly card. She also used this beautiful tree from Branch Out (regular catalog). Also with this set comes the boots and the tire swing. How perfect is that to give to a country boy. I think this card turned out great. She kept it simple yet made it so that he would like it. He loved it!

If you have any questions leave a comment and she can answer them through there.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm glad that you take the time look at my blog. Let me know if there is something you would like to see.

Also, I am starting to think about summer classes. What I have in mind so far is 1. another coaster class and 2. a canvas bag class. If there is something that you would really like to do let me know.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

New Color Scheme

Hello Stampers! Come on in and see what I have made for you today!

Now this card may look familiar, but I wanted to show you how you can make the same card two different ways. I used this design for the card we are making at my Make and Take but for this design I changed the colors. I had some of my Parisian Breeze left over from my scrapbook so I decided to use it and take the color inspiration from that paper. I love how light and soothing the colors look.

One other technique I love to do is use ribbon and twine together. That makes it soft but still gives it the rustic outdoors feel to go along with the stamp set, Garden Scene (Mini Catalog).

I hope you enjoyed my design today. I had a lot of fun coloring in the image using my blender pen and pastels. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Make and Take Notebook

Here is a sneak peak at what else we will be making at my April Make and Take. We will be using the beautiful Designer Series Paper from the new Occasions Mini Catalog called Walk In The Park. Depending on the main colors in your paper I will coordinate a Top Note to go with it and the ribbon. I love how simple these notebooks are, but they make a great gift or a fun everyday notebook for yourself!

If you would like to sign up for my Make and Take (April 30th) please let me know by Monday, April 27th!

Have a great day! Let me know if you have any questions about this project.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Make and Take All Occasions Card

On the road again....okay so that is all I know of that song. I really am on the road again, though. I am off to a quilting retreat in MN. I am very excited to get some projects started and hopefully finish some of them before we head home. If you need me between now and Monday please e-mail me. I do have e-mail access at all times so I can get back to you that way.

Would you like to make this beautiful card? Come to my Make and Take on Thursday, April 30th at 6:30 p.m. We will be making four cards and covering one composition notebook. It is all for only $10. What a great deal for a ton of fun!

For this card I used the brand new set called Very Versatile. It is in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. This set really fits its name. You can make a birthday, thank, wedding, and sympathy card with just this set. I designed this card so that when you make it at my make and take you could choose any words for it and use it for many different occasions.

If you would like to attend my Make and Take please RSVP by Monday, April 27th or ASAP because spots are limited!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Make and Take Spring Card

I love Spring and how exciting is it to be able to use Spring colors on our cards!

It was so much fun to make these cards because the colors are so light and cheery! For this card I used a new set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called Scene in a Garden. Have you received your mini yet, if not please let me know. This was a set requested by Justin. He saw it and just loved it so I got it to make some beautiful cards with.

I also used some of my SAB paper and ribbon for these cards. The colors are perfect for Spring! These cards are both very similar, but I changed the designer paper, added a scallop to one, and tied the ribbon differently on each one.

Would you like to make each of these cards? Come to my Make and Take on April 30th at 6:30 p.m. We will be making these two cards, two of the card you will see on Wednesday, and covering a composition notebook. You can do all of this for only $10. I would love for you to come join the fun! Please RSVP by Monday, April 27th or ASAP because spots are limited.

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Pam's Page

As promised here are Pam's pages. This was her first time using our great Simply Scrappin' Kits. She chose the kit called Rock-a-bye Girl.

She was excited about making a book that she could scrapbook all of Ashley's pictures. Like my Mom she went ahead and waited to add the pictures until later. This is a great way to focus on the pages and not become overwhelmed by the pictures. Either way works and it is a total personal preference of which way you would like to start your pages.

Pam also incorporated a Big Shot piece to place behind her smile sticker. That is what makes these kits so easy to use. The paper comes with stickers that all coordinate so nicely. It makes the process of putting pages together easy and fun.

Thanks for stopping by today. Let me know if you have any questions about these pages.

Mom's Pages

These great scrapbook pages were designed by Mom. She used the new Simply Scrappin' Kit called Happy Memories to make the first two pages (with the frog). I love how she incorporated the Top Note into the page and that will be a great place for the picture.

This second page is from an older Simply Scrappin' Kit that she finished first. Our favorite pages from our scrapbooking day were the turned over ones. You will see another example of that when I showcase Pam's pages. I love how my mom is able to set up the pages and then add the pictures later. I can't wait to see the pages with the pictures.

Happy Scrapbooking! Britni :)

Brooke's Cards

These beautiful cards were made by Brooke. Brooke was the host at Card club this past month and she so sweetly brought me a gift. How thoughtful is that when she is the hostess? She brought a very cute bag full of these beautiful cards. I just had to share them with all of you. Take a minute to check these out and get some great ideas for your next card making day!

Thanks for sharing Brooke! These cards are beautiful!

Covers

Wow! It is so easy to make scrapbooks when you have a Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin Up! My mom, Pam, and myself had a great time working together, sharing supplies, and sharing ideas while we put together our scrapbooks. I thought our covers turned out so great that I just had to share them.

The first one on the right is Pam's. She used some of her paper to cut out some Big Shot pieces. She then added some ribbon and stuck the paper on using Sticky Strip. Wow! Looks Great!

The next book is the front of my mom's that she is making to put pictures of her grandson in. I love the different textures she used with all the different ribbons. She decided to use the Top Note from the Big Shot and also her frog sticker from her Simply Scrappin' Kit.

The last album cover is mine. I worked on scrapping my engagement photos and this is the cover that I used. I was able to use two different colors of ribbon and then tie them togehter with a third color. I used Big Shot pieces and stickers from my Simply Scrappin' Kit!

We had a blast putting these together. If you haven't ever used our kits I would give them a try. I fall in love with them every time I use them. Everything coordintes and it makes it so easy to put things together.

If you don't think that you are a scrapbook person then this is a great way to start. It is fun and easy. I will be very willing to help you and get you started.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed our ideas!

Happy Scrapping! Britni :)
