Sleepy Time!

Oh, the cat looks so peaceful in this chair. The other thing I love about this stamp is that I have one of these chairs and I often find my dog in it in the mornings sound asleep and falling halfway out of it. It is the cutest sight to see!

Now back to the card, for the base I used Kraft and used the same embossing folder that I used on the baby card. I then accented with Dusty Durango and Bordering Blue.

For the image I stamped it, colored it in with the watercolor pencils and then used my blender pens to blend the color (don't forget to clean the blender pen between each new color). I love the soft look that technique does.

I hope you enjoyed this sample today. I sure did! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Baby Callie

My upline, Georgia, had her baby and she a girl! I was very happy to make this card for her with a new stamp set that you will get to purchase once the new catalog comes out.

I bet you can guess why I invested in this set. One, it is adorable and two, I think I will get a lot of use out of it here soon!

I love how the Top Note looks with the texture behind the baby carriage. The pink was so much fun to use with the Chocolate Chip accents for a sweet little girl. Instead of ribbon I decided to use some of my flower brads to accent the texture.

I hope you enjoyed this card and you are getting excited about the new catalog. I am sure excited to share it with you!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

DSP Flap Card

This card was so fun and simple!

The base is cut in Only Orange and at the same size of a card, but only half of it. I then used the DSP as the top of the card.

I decided that the card needed a little more and I added the flower brads! Don't fear....we will have more of these flower brads in the new catalog. They will be even better than before! I can't wait to show you.

I then stamped the words from Heard from the Heart and added the scallop edge.

Let me know if you have any questions about this card. I enjoyed making it and hope you will give it a try.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

James 1:12 " Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. "

More Watercolor Flowers

Here is my second idea to use with Watercolor Trio. I love how this one turned out.

Now you really can't see it, but I did put Taken With Teal on the background and as the base of the card. I then stamped off for the lighter color and stamped directly to Whisper White for the darker.

I used my paper piercer to punch holes around the entire edge of the card. It gave it another dimension without even using an embellishment.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy Stamping! Britni :)

James 1: 5-6 "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."

Watercolor Flowers

This beautiful stamp set is called Watercolor Trio and is featured in the current mini catalog. I couldn't pass this one up and I am sure glad I didn't.

This stamp set works really well as a two-tone. I stamped off for the lighter colors and just stamped the darker directly onto the Whisper White. The purple is Lavender Lace and I accented with Really Rust. Both of these colors are going soon. I will miss both of them!

I hope you have enjoyed this idea and take some time to make one for yourself. Enjoy!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

James 1:2-3 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."

Pink Emboss

So you really need to see this card in person to get the full effect, but I can tell you all about it.

The pink flowers have been embossed by using VersaMark to stamp them and applying clear embossing powder before I used the heating tool to make them pop.

I used the ticket corner punch on the corners for the frame and also on the bottom of the card. The stamp set Heard from the Heart had been hiding in the back of my closet and decided to come back out for this card. I love how it can just fill a card and you are done.

Have a wonderful and summer filled weekend!

Classic Bookmark

I seem to always go back to this bookmark. I just love how it works either stuck directly in the book or on the corner of the book. I had some Kaleidoscope DSP floating around in the closet and thought I better get to using it.

For these bookmarks I cut a 4X4 square and then just fold down two edges. How simple. I do use sticky strip to apply the ribbon and paper so that it will hold up with the wear and tear in and out of the book. I also used Little Flowers and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

These make a great party favor or quick gift. Have fun and use your scraps!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Blue Flowers

Get ready Card Club girls....this is one of your cards this week! I love this card! I know I say that a lot, but I just get excited when they turn out so nice! For this card I started with Gable Green and layered it with Ballet Blue. I textured the Ballet Blue with one of the wonderful Big Shot Folders (I love those! They give so much texture.)

I then took my Whisper White and sponged some Ballet Blue into the background and then stamped my Pocket Silhouttes in Chocolate Chip. I stamped the words in Ballet Blue to make it subtle. When I finished I layered that piece with some Gable Green and then decided that it needed something else. I added some of my favorite ribbon in Chocolate chip.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I would love to hear what you think so I know you are out there!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

be my rock of refuge,
a strong fortress to save me. Psalm 31:2

Flower Punch

I would love to give credit where credit is due, but I honestly do not remember where I saw this card. I think it was on a blog that I look at on a regular basis. I of course did change it up a little. :)

For this card I used some of the current in colors. I really loved this set of in colors and I am so excited that some of them will be staying and will be part of our regular color families! For this card I used Melon Mambo (staying), Bermuda Bay (bye bye), and Crushed Curry (goodbye).

I did punch the Bermuda Bay with the flower punch and then placed the white piece with the stamped flower underneath. I used dimensionals to put it all together so that it would really pop.

Thanks for stopping by for this fun and easy card! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. We have a big weekend of birthdays and anniversaries!!!!

Bloomin Time

Oh I love this card! If you open up your catalog to page 101 you will find this card (sort of). I usually change some elements depending on the supplies that are in my closet. I love how this Ballet Blue looks with Chocolate Chip. (Say goodbye to Ballet Blue!)

This card was fun to put together and just makes for a wonderful and elegant card. I did add some Very Vanilla to the inside since it is impossible to write on the Chocolate Chip with a black pen!

Bella's Bloom, the stamp set used on this card, is retiring. Get it while you still can!

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did. Don't forget that your catalog is such a wonderful resource to have. I saw things I had not seen before just flipping through trying to find the page number for this post. Funny how we miss things or see them differently. Guess what...we are getting even closer to the new catalog which will have brand new ideas and 16 extra pages of ideas!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
deliver me in your righteousness. Psalm 31:1

Stencils

It was time for me to purchase one of the stencil sets from the back of the Decor Element catalog. I had used the stencils before at my upline's event, but I knew my Card Club girls needed to try them.

I love the simplicity of this card. The stencils give it a soft look. I used sponge daubers to apply the ink to the paper. I was also using the rest of my Cameo Coral that was left in my closet. This color will be greatly missed. I went to this color a lot!

I also used Teeny Tiny Wishes on this card so that the ladies could put any words on it that they like. This way they are more likely to use it since it is more versatile that way.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Treat Holder

Here is another 3-D and Big Shot project. As you can see I put some sweet tarts inside my treat holder, but you could put any kind of candy, pencils, gift card, etc. I would use a glue dot or two to secure the item you place in there.

I used my Scallop Square Die again and a texture plate. Make sure you cut the square and then texture the paper. I then folded each side at 2 1/2, punched a hole in the top to add the cute little tag. You have a quick and easy take home treat.

Thanks for checking out this project. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Don't forget about the Rhubarb Fest this weekend. Come check out all the fun festivities!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Scallop Square Purse

I finally got my Scallop Square bag put together. This is an easy project once you get going.

My grandma gave me this great fabric so all I had to do was cut some squares big enough to fit on my Big Shot Scallop Square Die. Now it does cut better when there are several layers so I cut the two pieces of fabric and the filler in between all at the same time.

I then sewed an X on each square so that they would look a little quilted. Then it is as simple as laying the squares out in the design that you want.

If I do this project again I would probably purchase the pre-quilted fabric to speed the process along a little quicker. I do like the results, though!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you make one of these bags please send the pics my way. I would love to see it!
