Composition Notebooks

Does this paper look familiar? It is the same kit that I featured on Monday. I wanted to make some notebooks that matched the clipboards. Now you could really give a nice matching set. I like to include a cut little matching pen to go with the notebooks, too.

As you can see I used Top Notes and stickers along with the beautiful DSP included in this kit. I did do a little stamping for some words on the front of the notebook.

Now, composition notebooks are really inexpensive, but when you take the time to make it extra special the person you give it to will really appreciate it!

I hope you enjoy these springy projects!

Clipboards

You almost can not tell that this is a clipboard because of the ribbon at the top. I love how you can open up a pack of our scrapbooking kits and just work away. I did get out my Big Shot and cut some Top Notes and Flowers to add to it, too.

The stickers that come with our scrapbook kits also make it easy to add stripes of color and fun images like the birds with this set. I usually use smaller ribbon, but I had this ribbon and it matched. I think it turned out great at the top of these!

These make great gifts or something nice for yourself! Enjoy!

Black Accents

It is time to start thinking about which in-colors you will not want to part with. Starting in July we will have brand new in-colors and the current ones will be going... going.... gone! As you can see I used two of the amazing in-colors and accented with black. I have to say that I love this ribbon that is in the current mini. I wish I could buy ever color in about ten spools. Maybe that is a little excessive, but that gets my point across! Now, I can say that we will be seeing this ribbon again very soon! Thank Goodness!

I also used Vintage Vogue for this card. I love how the flowers look in these colors. This card turned out really nicely and looks great either way.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I do. If you haven't touched this ribbon yet....you need to...you will fall in love with it, too!

Easter Blessings

Signs of Spring...that is the name of the DSP used on this card. This card is just so bright, it puts you in the mood for warmer weather and sunshine.

This beautiful stamp set is called Abundant Hope and is featured in the current mini along with this DSP. I kept the image simple because it does all the work. I just used my markers to color it in a little.

As you can see, both of these cards are folded the same exact way. I just turned the image differently to create a different look and a different way to open the card.

This set makes a beautiful Easter card, but it can be used all spring long. This is a classic flower that could be used for many different occasions.

Thank you so much for stopping by again today. I hope you are having a wonderful week!

Bunny

The name of this stamp says it all. It is called Chocolate Bunny! This stamp is part of the under $10 page in the current mini. Isn't he adorable?!

For this card I wanted it to be simple so that the bunny was the focus. I started with Very Vanilla as my base and built from there. I added Cameo Coral and Chocolate Chip to accent. I did run the large piece of Cameo Coral through my Big Shot using my texture plate.

When I finished this card I thought that it needed a touch of something else. I ended up adding some brads along the scalloped edge.

This card could also be used as a tag. If you just take the section with the bunny starting at the scalloped layer you could just punch a hole, add some ribbon, and tie it onto an Easter basket.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I really appreciate all of you that take the time to read my blog!

Thank You!

I have been wanting this stamp set for awhile, but I just had not purchased it yet. I sure was happy that I waited. I was able to get it for FREE when I spent $50. This is one of the choices for the SAB rewards. So, after it came to my house...I didn't want for long to use it.

Bravo Burgandy and Taken with Teal look very nice together. These two colors just happened to be sitting next to each other on my shelf and really stuck out at me. I was glad that I grabbed them and it helped me be inspired for this card.

The first step was to cut my Taken With Teal using my Big Shot Clear Scallop Square Die. This gave me the base of my card. I then wanted to use two different images so I stamped each of them and cut around them so they were the same size. I used my markers to get those different colors in the image.

As you can see I had to make each card a little different because of the way the image needed to be turned. It inspired me to use different techniques on them.

If you love these cards, but don't have this set yet...there is still time to earn it for FREE!

Flower Tag

Check out this new Big Shot Flower! I purchased it and only one day later I had a project idea. This is one of the clear dies. I have really enjoyed using these dies and they make it easy if you want to cut out something specific because you can see what you are cutting.

For this tag I used three layers. Two layers of DSP and one layer of thin cardboard that comes in the back of small Decor Elements. I just wanted to make this tag durable and not so floppy.

I used more of the DSP from the mini, I told you I love all the DSP from the mini. :) The name of this DSP is Shades of Spring. I then punched out a So Saffron scallop circle go frame the Modern Punch in Certainly Celery. Now check out this ribbon. If only you could touch it through the computer. It feels amazing in your hands. This is the 5/8 Satin ribbon from the mini. Once you order one color, you will want every color and to never run out of it. It is that soft!

V-Day card

This is such a beautiful card that I received for Valentine's Day. I bet everyone can guess who made it for me!!!! My MOM.

I love how she used the pinks, reds, and browns. All the different layers are gorgeous and it makes the card really pop.

The ribbon at the top just brings it all together, too. It is amazing what little embellishments can do for a project.

Thanks MOM!

Flower Bookmark

This bookmark was inspired by the bookmark in the mini. I took the same idea and elements but made it my own.

I first cut out some Old Olive and ran it through the Big Shot using and embossing folder. At the bottom of the bookmark I rounded the corners and added some Cottage Wall DSP. Like most of the DSP the catalog does it no justice! It is so much fun to open a DSP when you receive it and really see what it looks like!

The flower at the top is a new flower punch from the mini. It has been so easy to use and I have enjoyed this new punch style. I layered that flower with some more DSP and a build-a-brad. All of this held together with the brad and that is also how I attached it and the ribbon to the bookmark.

Now I wanted my bookmarks to be personalized so I used my Big Shot Alphabet Simple to cut out my first and last initial. They just happen to spell be. :) I love love love how this turned out! I hope you do, too!

Happy Bookmarking! Britni :)

Animals!

Babies, Babies! I have some friends having babies and here is one gift that I gave out already.

I purchased some onsies and stamped on them. Now, most of the animals are from a retired set called Wild About You, but the monkeys are from the set called Fox and Friends in the mini.

I also had some canvas bags left so I thought I could stamp that, use it as the gift bag, and then they have a cute bag to use.

What ideas do you have for stamping gifts for babies? Let me know!

Happy Gifting! Britni :)

Easter Eggs!

Easter is on the way....which also means Spring is on the way. I know some of you are very ready for Spring...I for one love winter and all the snow!

Easter eggs need to be colorful, so I used my in-color markers to make them that way after I stamped my eggs from Loads Of Fun. They are supposed to go in the back of the truck, but I love how they look outlining the words.

I also used Cottage Wall DSP, which I love because it is Old Olive and Rich Razzelberry...You can't get much better than that!

I am not sure you can see it, but I did do some paper piercing on the edges of the Chocolate Chip paper to frame the rest of the card.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Go Green

This was such a fun card to make! I love how it all came together with all my different ideas.

This stamp set called Go Green is part of the under $10 page in the mini. As you can see these words fit nicely inside one of the Big Shot die ovals. I then layered it on some Gable Green on top of a textured piece that reminds me of the four leaf clovers.

I finished this card and knew it needed something else. I added some of this beautiful Whisper White ribbon!

Now when St. Patrick's Day is over and you still want to use this stamp then just color in the Go Green words. Our world is trying to go green and I know I am! What a great reminder for us all.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Going Green! Britni :)

Do you know what time it is? TOOL TIME!

Okay, so there are times when we need to send a card to a man. Now the hard part is designing or finding a card that will work.

I have figured out that guys do not care about all the frills (ribbon, brads, etc). They just appreciate a basic card with a nice picture/saying.

For this card I did just that. I did some stamping and used a set that I consider one of my guy sets. When I placed it all down on the base it was way too straight and crisp. That is why I textured all the edges and did some tearing. I liked how it turned out.

Thanks for checking this card out. I hope it inspires you to create!
