Top Note Lamb

I got to do a make and take class with some of my knitting friends. It was so much fun to incorporate our knitting into our stamping! This card could easily be modified for a different stamp set, though so don't just run away if you are not a knittier.

I am crazy for this In-Color DSP pack because that is what we used here, too. We cut out the Top Notes and then we used the frame from the Top Note on the inside (sorry forgot to take a pic of that). I love these buttons! I used the Regal set of buttons for this project. It is easy to layer them using the twine. I punch two holes in the paper, string the twine through, then string the buttons, and tie a knot. This makes the buttons very secure.

As you can see I rounded some of the corners and also added some fake stitching to add another element to the card. We had a lot of fun making these cards!

Romans 8:38-39 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Kissing Flowers

Kissing Flowers!? Well, it is true. This technique is called the kissing technique because the stamps have to kiss.

What you do first is choose a dark color and a lighter color. You stamp the main image with the lighter color (the flower) and then you stamp the dot image with the darker (Dot, Dot, Dot). You place the two stamp together and then you stamp onto your paper. This is how you get the dots on the flower. I love this technique. It is easy and fun. I also love the results! If this does not make sense then ask me to demonstrate the next time you see me!

The colors I used for this card were Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke, and Peach Parfait DSP. I also used a glimmer brad for the center of the flower! I always love a little sparkle without the mess of glitter!

I hope you like this card as much as I do. Have fun kissing with your stamps!

Fabric Flowers

I couldn't decide what to do with the beautiful fabric that Stampin' Up is providing for us now. Someone suggested to use it on a card. I thought that it would look cute cut out with the Big Shot. I used my Flower Folds Die in order to do this. I then layered with a circle in the middle and then a brad to top it all off. This fabric is nice and thick and the colors are so rich.

I can officially say that I own all the Embossing folders now. I just love all of them and can't get enough of them! This folder is called Elegant Lines. It gives such a deep impression and between it and the fabric this card didn't need anything else.

Take some time to check out the fabric. I bet you could come up with some fun ideas of ways to use it. Let me know if you think of something. I would love to try some other ideas!

Build-A-Bear Thank You

We are still with the Build-A-Bear. The same time I was making that birthday card Jady needed a thank you card to send to her Bama. I decided that it would be a good idea to use the girl bear for this card.

I also still had out the In-Color hostess level one DSP pack. I took three scraps that were different colors and layered them. How simple, but cute. I then placed the bear on the Rose Red that was also the base color of the card. I used my Aqua Painters again as you can see on the bear.

I have to say that this stamp set is adorable and makes really nice "kid" cards. I think I will be using it more in the future and someday Jady can use it.

Thanks for taking time to stop by.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Oen's BDay Card

Build-A-Bear is so much fun! I will say that I have never stepped foot in a store, but I don't think I need to when I can use my Big Shot and stamps to make my own!

For this card I had a lot of fun using the boy bear for Oen's birthday card. I added the hat and balloon to the bear to make him look like he was at a party.

To color in the bear I used my Aqua Painters. I love those because it gives a very watercolor look. It takes you back to your younger days when we got to paint with watercolors. Ask me about these at my next event if you have not used or seen them. They are great!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Dani's Card

Who isn't "Crazy For Cupcakes?" Well, I know I am and that is why I love this stamp set.

I used the coordinating colors to make this card that I also used for Dani's file folder. I used more of the DSP. I had to add some sparkle to this card like I did on the front of Dani's folder. (I forgot to mention the jewels that I used on the folder. They are already in a line like that and so they were easy to apply.) Here I just used one jewel in the corner to add some sparkle.

I always think it is fun to coordinate the card with the gift and that is easy to do when you make it all at the same time.

I hope you have enjoyed my ideas this week. I appreciate the comments that are coming in lately. It is always nice to hear your ideas and comments about what I am doing. It also tells me someone is out there. :)

Dani's Gift - Reading Folder

This folder was so much fun to make. The only item that was not Stampin' Up was the file folder. My cousin Dani's favorite color is pink, so I had to use a folder that pink in it. Dani is a big reader and she loves to keep track of what she wants to read. I thought this would be perfect for her to do just that.

I used some regular cardstock and some of the In-color hostess level one DSP pack. Dani loves this folder and will be transferring her book list to this folder soon.

What gifts can you make to give to family and friends? I find so much joy in making and giving homemade gifts to people!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Come back Friday to see the card that I also made for Dani.

Redo?

I had left over supplies from a workshop I did. Well, this was the make and take card and the stamp set we used was also the gift to the hostess. When I got home I had three cards left that were not put together or stamped.

I decided to change it a little by adding some Chocolate Chip and using my Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I added the red berries on a couple of the trees to bring it all together.

I like how these cards turned out and I was even happier I didn't have to waste the leftover supplies!

Sunday School Gifts : Little Lamb Tags

Three of the girls in my Sunday School class earned a prize for doing their homework. Awhile back you saw some notebooks that two of the girls got last time. This time I decided to make scarves. I added these quick and easy tags to them to wrap them up.

The stamp set is called Little Lamb. I have used it to make items for the students and we have actually used it to make crafts during Sunday School. This is a great set!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Kit Card

This beautiful card was a snap to make. If you check out the mini it has this beautiful card kit in it. All I had to do was add the words and I was done. This card would not even had to have that. I decided to add the words to the envelope, too since the envelopes come with this kit.

This kit is called Simply Sent Medallion Medley. You get 8 cards and envelopes for $11.95. These make for a great gift for any friend that is a crafter or not.

Silky Flower

Do you remember the tissue paper from awhile ago? This is the same technique, but you almost can't see it on this card.

I used the beautiful Sympathy set from the mini to make this card and as you can see it is not a sympathy card. I inked the image with markers, added adhesive to the entire image, crumbled my tissue paper, and applied it to the image.

I love this Thank You Kindly set of four stamps. It is a set that you can get for FREE when you spend $50 this month. That is how I got it and I have used it a ton since I got it.

To add a little I added the coordinating Sahara Sand at the bottom and punched the Eyelet scallops to bring the color through.

I love how this card turned out and I used it at a workshop I had last month. They seemed to enjoy the tissue paper trick and the pretty jewel that I added to the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful week!

Recipe Cards and Holder

Recipe cards seem to be going out of style. That is such a bummer since we have this adorable recipe card stamp set. It was a lot of fun making these and I thought that it would be fun to send a recipe to a friend in some of my homemade cards. Maybe send a recipe for those friends that you just send a card to for their birthday. They can enjoy your delicious food idea to celebrate!

I also decided that if I am going to really use this set then I need a way to store my card so they won't get dirty as we use them. I used a photo album, decorated the outside and put my cards inside. This way each recipe gets two cards. That should be plenty of space. I am excited to get some of our favorite recipes in this book.

Have a wonderful weekend. I hope you get a chance to stamp!

Courage

I love this card! I designed this card for a Workshop I had in February. The hostess requested a patriotic card for the guests to make.

I used Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy, and Crumb Cake. The stamp set is called Courage. It is just gorgeous. I love that you can stamp it in a solid color, color on the stamp with different colors, or color it after you have stamped it. It looks great any way you want to use it.

I wanted to make sure and incorporate a lot of our different products with this card so the guests could get a real taste for Stampin' UP.

I used the Scallop Square Big Shot Die and then embossed it with Polka Dots. I stamped the image, tore the edges and rubbed ink on the edges. I used a punch for the star, my hole punch, and a brad. We also used dimensionals to make the image and the star pop off the page.

I hope you enjoyed this card! It also helps us to remember to take time to think about those who are serving and give them the prayers and respect they deserve!
