Because I Care: Hostess Set

This is such a pretty level one hostess set. I also love it when the stamp does all the work. I usually stay away from stamp sets that I can't think of an idea right away or that I see it will take a lot of planning and doing to make the card look good. For stamps like this flower all you really need to do is stamp it and it looks great!

I had some time one week and I really dug into some of my new stamps. For this card I used Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and Whisper White. I also used the favorite Top Note.

I did stamp some flowers in the background on the Bashful Blue, but I am not sure if you will be able to see that very well on the computer.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Stop by on Friday for some ideas with another new stamp set!

Stamp Fair: Part Three

So Many Thanks is one of the great stamps on the under $10 page. This was such a great idea of how to use this stamp.

The first step was to stamp the image on the Whisper White. We then punched the heart into the DSP of Crumb Cake. How cute! (I put my heart on the inside of my card, I didn't want to waste that cute heart!) Then we punched another strip of Whisper White using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. I have to say that I love this new punch. I recently purchased one and can't get enough of it!

We added some more DSP to the bottom of the card and then assembled the entire card. The last step was to use a glue dot and add the button. I love this card! They also had this sample in Basic Gray and I loved that look, too.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see these fun projects I got to make. I hope you enjoyed them and have been inspired.

Stamp Fair: Part Two

This card uses some beautiful embellishments from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog. This is the second card that I got to make at the Stamp Fair.

Those snowflakes are a gorgeous embossing folder that you can use with your Big Shot. I love them and really the card doesn't need much more than that!

The brad is a very nice sparkly brad that you can look for in your Holiday Mini. They come in several different colors and are oh so fun to use. They are called Glimmer Brads.

The stamped words come from a Hostess set that will be in the mini called Peaceful Season.

I hope you enjoyed this simple yet elegant card!

Stamp Fair: Part One

Marina Mist, So Saffron, and Certainly Celery really look nice together.

This was a project that I made at a Stamp Fair that I recently attended. Now for the background we used Whisper White and just rubbed a little on. Now remember this is a Craft pad so you won't want to use too much or it will never dry!

For the images, we stamped them from the stamp set called Just Believe and then punched them out with a square punch. We also added a little pearl (if you can see that in the blue circle) and some ribbon to top it all off. I love how simple, but cut this card turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Next time I will be featuring another project from the Stamp Fair.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Little Memo Pad

We all need a place to write down those special thoughts that seem to just disappear. What a better place than an adorable notebook. This notebook was made especially for my mom. I pick some nice colors (Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, and Crumb Cake) and my Hand Knit set and got to work again. For the front it was quick and easy with a few images and just attach the small piece. For the back of the notebook I just stamped all the images several times randomly and thought that that was plenty.

I added the ribbon and a little twine to bring out the Crumb Cake and I was finished. Again, this is such a quick project. I made all these projects that you have seen all week in a very short amount of time.

I hope you have enjoyed all these projects. Next week I will be showing what I made at the Stamp Fair I attended a couple Saturdays ago. See you Monday!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Another Knitting Card

Well, if you saw my blog on Monday you saw that I made a cute notebook for one of my friends. I needed a card to match of course so this is what I came up with.

I went with the same colors - Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, and Rose Red. I did texture the card base front using my Big Shot embossing folder. I also used my scallop edge punch to add a little to the card. After I got it all put together I decided it also needed some ribbon. I love how the ribbon just brings it all together.

You can see that I coordinated the envelope and spent a little time on the inside of the card. I think it really adds to the card when there is something in there. I also stamped Happy Birthday on hers (this is my extra). I always try to make two for a sample and/or an extra to have on hand.

As I always say, you can change the image for a quick card of your own. I do love the base of this card and any image would fit nicely on it.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you are inspired to make some of your own cards!

Knitting Gift

I love how quick and easy it is to put together a gift for one of my knitting friends now! You have seen these little notebooks before, but they always turn out so cute that I have to share them with you.

One of my knitting friends decided to have a birthday party for our other friend at our next meeting so of course I wanted to make something cute for her. I got out my Hand Knit stamp set and got to work.

Once I finished putting together the Rose Red, Marina Mist, and Bashful Blue notebook I decided I needed a Rose Red Big Shot box to place them in. I also added a pen to the project to make it a set. I hope she enjoys it. It will be easy for her to just drop it in her knitting bag and go!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I know I have had a lot of knitting related projects here lately, but you can always change the image and make these projects.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Sock Monkey!

I needed a cute card to send with a care pack that will go to some wonderful child filled with school supplies. I don't know if it will go to a boy or girl so I kept it gender neutral and used some crazy colors!

I used the New Daffodil Delight and the old, but goodie Old Olive. I also dug out my Sock Monkey set. I had not used that one for awhile and it is always perfect for any child's card. I added some details by using an embossing folder, scallop oval punch, and my oval punch.

As you can see I also stamped the inside and the envelope! Don't forget those special details.

Thank you for checking out this idea today. Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Hand Knit - Tags Part Two

Here are a few more tags that I made with my knitting set. Can you tell I had some fun?

For these I used an actual tag. I got out my Big Shot and the Two Tags die. It made them so easy because the hole is already punched for the ribbon and I just had to add a few details and of course the stamp telling the recipient that their gift is homemade!

This is a really great and fun die to use. It comes in handy for a lot of different occasions.

Thank you for checking out my idea. Don't forget to come back Friday! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

My New Decor

This is my new Decor Element. Okay, so I do have to admit that it sat in my closet for several months. I had Justin put it up before my last Open House. It worked out great because then everyone got to see it as they relaxed and shopped that day.

I love this Decor Element because it is simple and elegant all at the same time. Decor Elements are also so simple to put up. Justin usually ends up putting it up for me since I put them up high where I can't reach, but he always does such a nice job.

When you purchase one they come with wonderful instructions, but I am also willing to explain it to you, too.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Hand Knit - Tags

Here are some more great ideas to do with the brand new and wonderful "Hand Knit" stamp set. One of the reasons this set is so nice is because you can make tags to put with your homemade items. I always like to make homemade gifts and I would say that about 80-90% of my Christmas gifts will be homemade this year. I love it!

I used my Circle punches and my Flower punch to create these tags. I picked some fun colors and of course Real Red (with Christmas in mind) to get me started. I made a lot of these tags in a very short amount of time.

I hope you are inspired to make some tags of your own. Even if you aren't a knitter you can just change the stamp set and make some really nice tags for all occasions.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Knitting and Stamping!

WOW! Can you believe it....my two worlds collide. I was so excited when the new catalog came out and this set was in it. I literally ran out to the garage to find Justin to tell him that my worlds were colliding. He was just a little scared!

I have been wanting to work with this set since I got it and this past week I finally had some time to sit and just stamp for me! What fun!

The colors on this card are Marina Mist (new), Melon Mambo (a wonderful in-color that SU kept), and Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft). The accessories I used for this card were my embossing polka dot folder, my eyelet scallop punch, Whisper White Ribbon, and Twine. OH, I also used my white gel pen to add a little to the sheep. How cute is he?

As you can see I had a lot of fun making this card. I also added some nice details to the inside and of course the envelope!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I would love to hear some feedback so I know you are out there looking at my blog. I am contemplating keeping this going so let me know if you enjoy it and want it to keep going.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)
