Harvest Home

This is a stamp set that was in the catalog last fall and I knew I had to have it once I saw it. I first loved the barn in the background and I also love pumpkins, so what better set!

I was very excited to dig this set back out of the closet when the weather started changing and the leaves falling. As I am writing this my hands are chilly and the wind is blowing. Let's just say....at times I love it. I love to be bundled up on the couch with a good book and a blanket. I have to make myself get up and move (or work on my blog).

I was inspired by the catalog for this creation. I just changed a little, but basically I used the inspiration card they provided for us in this catalog with this set. I love to do that. It makes my job easy to create, but it also shows you how you can use the catalog. Not everyone thinks they can come up with ideas on their own...well that is why we have that wonderful catalog!

For this card I used Kraft, More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla, and my Very Vanilla Hodgepodge. If you are part of my Card club group you can look forward to making this card next Tuesday! WOOHOO!

Let me know if you have any questions about this card. Have a wonderful fall week!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Mom's Gifts!

WOW! Look at these notebooks! I love the contrast of the black and white with the red.

My Mom wanted a nice little gift for a couple of new teachers at her school this year. She thought since they were young they might enjoy a cute little notebook. These are Stampin' Up's small chipboard notebooks.

Now look closely at the spiral edge....it lines up, that is because she used the Spiral Punch that SU has.

This paper is called Night and Day and it is in the Holiday Mini. I love this paper and even better yet, when you purchase this paper it comes with two 12 X 12 window sheets that polka-dots on them. What a great deal!

You can also see that she used her Big Shot to punch out the daisy.

I also love the big Real Red ribbon. It just looks really nice and brings it all together.

So....does everyone see where I get my talent?

Thanks for sharing Mom, these are gorgeous!

Happy Gifting! Britni :)

Fall Flowers

This card was inspired by my drive to work each day. As I am driving I am truly enjoying the beautiful fall flowers and colors. Most people would call them weeds in the ditch, but I call them beautiful!

I just knew I had to make a card using the same colors that I see on my way to work. For this card I stuck with a polka-dot theme. I textured the Rich Razzleberry using my Big Shot. I layered the other colors - Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, and Whisper White. The Pocket Silhouettes stamp set helped me represent the flowers I see in the ditch. I then scalloped the edge of my Soft Suede paper and added some white dots with my white gel pen. I finished off the polka-dot theme with my Crushed Curry ribbon. I just love how this card turned out!

I hope you like this card as much as I liked making it!

Peace Within

I love this stamp set! 1) because I love cats 2)because I have a chair just like this and my dog loves to sit in it!

This stamp set just shows the peacefulness of living in the country. The name also tells you the same thing since it is called Peace Within.

For this card I used some of my Autumn Traditions DSP along with Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. I then colored in the image with my Aqua painters using many of the Earth Element colors.

I hope you enjoyed this idea and this stamp set. I would love for you to have one, too. Let me know if you would like this stamp set. This is one of those classic sets that can be used for years to come!

Pumpkins!

It is that time of year again! Pumpkin Time! I love fall...I love the changing of the seasons and yes I am crazy, but I love the cooler temperatures and sweater weather.

For this card I used my hostess level 3 set called The More the Merrier. It is a wonderful and very versatile set. I also used another versatile set that is a hostess level one set. These two worked together perfect for this card!

The colors I used were Only Orange and Basic Black, two great colors to use for this time of year.

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my idea for today.

Have a wonderful week! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Quick Gift: Notepad

Are you looking for a quick and easy gift? This is a project that I designed for my Card Club ladies. They always like ideas of gifts that 1) don't cost very much 2) are quick and easy to make 3) use a few great SU products!

I provided all those things in this project. I first purchased the small notepad. I then ordered some Autumn Traditions DSP, Always Artichoke ribbon, and More Mustard paper. I placed a strip of the Autumn Traditions along the top and then tied my ribbon around that. I used my Level One hostess stamp set to stamp Give Thanks on the More Mustard paper. At first I was going to stop there.

When I flipped the notepad over I thought to myself that it needed a little more. All I did to the back was add some more of the Autumn Traditions paper to cover up the cardboard.

Also, with this gift a pen with the coordinating paper inside would look great, then you would have a wonderful homemade gift to give to a very special person!

Have a wonderful day dreaming of gifts!

Happy Gifting! Britni :)

Embossed daisies

You can't see the beauty of this card in this picture. You need to see it in person.

This was one of my Card Club cards for this month. I think they enjoyed the different color scheme I chose to use for this card. I also dug out a great technique that I forget to use which is embossing. Again, you can't tell, but we embossed the daisies on this card from the Upsy Daisy stamp set.

For this card I knew I wanted black and white. Once I got started I saw that it needed a pop of color, so what better color than Pixie Pink? I love how it really brought the card together.

You can also see that I used my great Big Shot machine on this card. I layered two Top Notes on the front. I also gave them a Top Note to place inside since we can't write on black with a normal pen. I think they appreciated that!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

All in the Family

These little guys turned out great! Aren't they just so cute? I am glad that my mom has this set and I could borrow it to make this adorable card.

I love to use my new in-colors at each event that I have and this card I used Bermuda Bay, Dusty Durango, and Crushed Curry along with Whisper White. On the Whisper White I used a texture plate which is a great base to layer the words and the people.

The great thing about this stamp set is that you can make a whole family or just focus on a boy or girl for their birthday. You can also add the family pet! There are also three add-ons and a wheel that go with this set. There are just so many options.

Thanks for stopping by to check out this great card!

Make and Take - This Thursday

I still have 4 spots open for this Thursday's Make and Take. It will be at my house from 6:30-8:30. Give yourself a night away from the family while you enjoy a wonderful craft!

Let me know if you have questions. Give me a call/text or send me an e-mail if you would like to attend.

I hope to see you soon!

Sock Monkey?

Yes, I used the sock monkey set on these two cards. I wanted to think beyond the box in order to get a new card out of a stamp set that I have had for awhile.

The DSP I used on these cards is Razzleberry Lemonade which gave me a great color inspiration for the card. The best part about making these cards was that when it came time to color in the stamped images I could use my in-color markers. I love those!

I hope you enjoyed this different look on a card. I saw this on another blog, but just used what I had to make it my own. I also liked how easy it is to turn the card and make it different using the same supplies.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Cupcake Time!

Here is another card that I used Soft Suede on. I am loving this color apparently! It is great for the background which is how I used it on Monday's card and today's card.

For this card I started with a Whisper White base and layered the Soft Suede for a nice base for the cupcake. Are you wondering how I made this cute little cupcake? I used my Big Shot! The die I used is called Stampin' Up Big Bold Cupcakes. I loved using all the different in-colors to make it all pop. I also used my Modern Label punch and my window punch to make the words stand out. The words are from Wow Flowers.

I hope you enjoyed this card. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I have been working on.

Harvest Truck

It is that time of year again and I love it! It is time to get out the fall colors and the pumpkin stamps. I am not a huge fan of Halloween so I like to just celebrate the Fall! It is so gorgeous and I really love all the beautiful colors I can see right now driving into work everyday.

For this card I got out my More Mustard and the new in-color Soft Suede to go along with this beautiful DSP called Autumn Traditions.

I used one the first stamp sets that I ever had which is called Loads of Love and the set of accessories that go with it. This truck worked out great for this card because I could color it a fun color and put the pumpkins in the back!

My Card Club girls are lucky because they are going to get to use some of my Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware. This square worked really nicely with the words in this stamp set.

I like how easily this card came together. I hope you enjoy it, too!

Have a wonderful day! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Movers and Shapers!

Buying a Big Shot is a big investment, but here is a great example of why you might want one. I just keep experimenting with my Big Shot and I think to myself....How could I ever have thought I didn't want one of these...that is just crazy!

For this card I borrowed my mom's die called Movers and Shapers. The cut out in the top middle of the card could be moved to anywhere that you would please on the card. That is fun because you can customize each card and no two cards would have to be alike if you didn't want them to be.

I kept this card simple, but it shows off what this die can do. I used some of my Thoroughly Modern DSP, Perfect Plum card stock, and twine. The stamp set I used was Pocket Silhouettes. I have been wanting this set for awhile and I just bought it. I am very happy that I did. I am planning some fall colored cards using this set.

Thanks for stopping by today! What have you been working on? I would love to see any of your projects!

Country Flowers

This stamp set doesn't need much more than to just be stamped, colored in, and you can call it a day. It is so gorgeous. This is the hostess level one set called Country Morning. Did I happen to mention that I love this set?!

Now, if you take a look in your catalog on page 12, you will see that I was inspired by the Idea Book and Catalog from Stampin' UP. I took a lot of elements from the card on that page and fit it to my taste and supplies.

I think it turned out great with the fall colors. I love getting my fall colors out of the closet. Old Olive and Really Rust and two of the ones that I really love.

For the image a used my Aqua painters to paint the subtle colors.

I hope you enjoyed my sample as much as I liked making it. Those of you that are in Card Club will get to make this great card!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!
