A Peek Inside My Home

I wanted to give you a peek at my dining room table and how it was set for Christmas. (Don't worry, I know that the silverware and glasses are missing....they are in the dishwasher!)

I was sitting and relaxing about a week before Christmas when on the Today show they were talking about setting your table and how to decorate it. I panicked....I realized that I needed to come up with something cute for my table. Well, I love simple, so that is the way I went.

I started with this huge red table cloth that my mom gave me (I think it was my Grandma's). I then added some snowflakes. I used the Stampin' Up snowflake punch. How quick and easy! I then decided (even though my husband laughs and calls me a dork!) to add some place cards! I love place cards and they are so fun to make and use!

I used the Broadstreet Alphabet set, snowflake punch, sparkle brads from the mini, Top Note Die, and embossing folder. I think they turned out very simple and elegant!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will soon begin 2011. Take some time to reflect on 2010 before it is gone! Does anyone have goals for 2011? Share them here!

I hope to try some new techniques with my stamping that I have not done in the past.

Happy 2010......Britni :)

Homemade Christmas

Oh, I love homemade cards (I bet you didn't know that!). This is a beautiful card that my family received from Dawn. I was so excited to see all the wonderful Stampin' Up supplies that she used.

I hope you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations. We are still busy celebrating today and Wednesday! It is the never ending Christmas celebrations! I love it!

Happy Celebrating! Britni :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I hope your 2010 has been a great one! I am looking forward to my new adventures of being a mommy in 2011.

Simple Flowers

I needed some simple and quick cards. I decided to start with Crumb Cake for a base. I then used my Just Believe stamp set and stamped the flowers in Elegant Eggplant and the words in Garden Green. I love purple and green together.

I decided it needed just a little something else, so I added some sparkle to the top with our jewels.

See it doesn't take a lot of time if you need a quick card and it can still look good. If you have the time it is always fun to layer and layer and just experiment, but there are times when we need a last minute card.

Have a wonderful Christmas weekend!

SMILE!

I love coming up with fun craft activities for my Sunday School. The easy part is that we have all girls in there right now, so they get excited about stamping!!!

For this project I used the Little Lambs stamp set which I purchased to use in Sunday School. It is perfect! I also used the two tags Big Shot die for the base of our bookmark. Then I stamped the image on Whisper White and used dimensionals to attach it to a Scallop circle. I think the girls will like keeping this in their Bible or giving one away to a friend.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a blessed day!

Little Lamb

While I had out my Green House Gala DSP I thought I could make a birthday card for one of my knitting friends. (I also made her a matching calendar!)

I used Baja Breeze for the base, then DSP, then layered the lamb with Pumpkin Pie. I also used Whisper White ribbon and Twine to top it all off.

This is a very simple card and you have probably seen me use this design before. When I put DSP as the background it makes the card quick, easy, and it really doesn't need much more.

Happy Christmas stamping! Britni :)

Calendar Time!

It is that time of year that you begin to see next year calendars for the taking. That inspires me to make some of these fun calendars. This is a great gift to give to someone for them to put on their desk. I bet they think of you each time they look at it.

I even get requests from people that I have given these to in the past to make them another one! I love it! That tells me they use it all the time.

I used the Green House Gala DSP for this project and fell in love with this paper. The catalog never does our DSP justice and I fall in love with whatever paper I order!

Let me know if you have any questions about this project and if you are in Card Club you will get to see this project up close all year long! :)

Christmas Tags

Two Tags Bigz Die is the perfect die to use for you Christmas tags. I took an afternoon to whip these up quickly. I love how they look on my wrapped Christmas gifts.

I also used the Snowflake punch, Teeny Tiny Wishes, and Many Merry Messages.

Usually you fold this tag in half, but I saw the idea on another blog that you can use DSP to cover the fold line and make a bigger tag.

I love how these turned out and I hope you have a chance to make some nice tags.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my idea.

Card Holder

I have been trying to figure out how to package cards when I give them in large amounts. I love to give away homemade cards to many different people.

I had to modify the file folder because the cards were too big to fit in those pockets. So, what I did was just to use the half fold rather than fold it four times. I love how these turned out and they didn't take much time at all.

Supplies I used were the Stampin' Up File Folders, Big Shot Alphabet Simple Letters, Antique Brads, lots of sticky strip, and some ribbon.

Have some fun with it and some for you gifts!

Build-A-Bear ~ Thank You!

Build-A-Bear! Now I am featuring a card today, but what a great gift idea for someone with little kids or for a little kid.

For this card you can see that I used pinks, the Top Note, and an embossing folder! I think they turned out cute and they were so easy to make. If you look closely I did use a pearl on the flower in her hair!

Now, for gift ideas: You could cut the build-a-bear (Big Shot die - this is only the stamp set) out of felt, paper, magnets, etc and package it together for a child. This would be a great stocking stuffer. You could also gift the stamp set with some stamp pads for the child to use. There are so many options and the Build-A-Bear stamp set and dies are too cute to pass up!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Read - File Folder

Here is another Christmas gift idea. This project can even be used to package those initial cards from last week!

This is just a file folder that has been scored and folded. Each pocket can hold whatever you would like. You could even have each pocket hold a different gift card.

This folder is for the reader in your life. The pockets hold: bookmarks, reading log, books to read, and books borrowed.

Initial Cards: Part Two

Here is the second part of my initial cards that I promised! I took the same technique as the other cards. As you can see they are similar, yet different at the same time. I used some of the same sized paper and punches, but still made it look like a different card.

I also used the Crumb Cake envelopes since this card had some Chocolate Chip on it.

You could make several sets of these in one afternoon. Who would appreciate a set of cards from you this Christmas season?

Initial Cards: Part One

Today and Friday I would like to share some initial cards with you. This is a quick, easy, but very useful gift idea!

This is a great gift for anyone that loves to send cards. They can use them for thank yous or just thinking of you cards! All I did was searched through my closet for colors that reminded me of the recipients and found some DSP that coordinated.

Don't forget the coordinated envelopes so they are ready to send them! Package them up or just tie a ribbon around them and you have a very nice, thoughtful, and homemade gift!

Cupcake Time

Here is another card that I made to send to the sailors!

I used two different sets for this card. Crazy For Cupcakes and Perfect Punches worked really nicely together. Also, you can see even though the stamp set Perfect Punches coordinates with several punches you can still use it without the punches.

B is For Birthday

I had the honor of making some Birthday cards to send away to some sailors that will then in turn send them to their family members. When I designed these cards, I wanted to make sure that they could be used for male or female and many different ages.

This card used Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, and Crumb Cake. This stamp set is Party Hearty.

Truck Time

Countryside is a stamp set that is great for manly cards. I knew that the men in my life would like this one when this catalog came out. Justin loved this card when I showed it to him, so I was right!

I used Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard. All I did was stamp the image and did not worry about coloring it in. I added some words from my Fundamental Phrases set. The More Mustard paper was put through the crimper which reminds me of a tin roof or the side of a country building.

Gray Tones

Just Believe: Don't you just love this stamp set?! I can not get enough of it.

For this card I used Basic Gray (which is one of my new favorite colors to use) and Melon Mambo. This is a simple card that uses the tearing technique, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, and a pearl in the center of the flower.

Simple Elegance. You could also put just about any words on this card and it could be used for many different occasions!

Silver Inspiration

I had some leftover Silver from my baskets that I featured the other day so I just had to use it on a card!

I used Rich Razzelberry, Basic Black, and Brushed Silver to put this card together. If you look closely you can also see that I used a jewel in the center flower! I just had to add a little more glam.

This card is so simple, but with the silver it makes it so elegant.

Purple Baskets

This project was made by using the Baskets and Blooms Big Shot Die. Let's just say...I was very tired of this die once I was done.

I was asked to make 40 of these baskets. I was so thankful that they were in colors that I love! It helped the process!

The colors used were Elegant Eggplant and Brushed Silver. I just have to say that I love the Brushed Silver. I had not used it before and now I want an excuse to use it all the time.

For this shower they had an initial theme so I stamped the H (Broadsheet Alphabet) on the tag for the basket and she also brought out the napkins and had me stamp those, too. I thought that was a nice touch!

I also crimped some Brushed Silver to put inside the baskets.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Little Lamb

Okay....are you tired of seeing this stamp set yet? I know I am yarn crazy and when my two worlds collided I think I went even crazier!

This stamp set has been perfect to make gifts for my yarny friends! I found these sticky notes and could not believe how well they coordinated with SU colors! It is amazing how SU keeps their colors current with what is happening out there. This was just a fine example of that.

As you can see I had fun designing this and using different elements.

It is also always fun to make the card coordinate. That really shows them that it was all homemade. People seem to appreciate that these days!

What gifts are you working on?

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Red and Crumb Cake

I love this combination of colors! I needed a card one day to send along with a homemade item and the focus color for me was red. I happened to have some Real Red DSP in the closet and went from there.

I didn't know Crumb Cake would look so nice with it. I love how it is subtle, yet at the same time it isn't. I hope that makes sense!

The other thing that was different for me with this card was that I didn't use an image on the front, but rather just some words. I felt like the paper did all the work and all it needed was the words to top it off.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did! Take some time for yourself and stamp a little.

Birthday Calendar

Here is a great gift idea! Stampin' Up sells these Birthday calendars that are all put together and ready to go. All you need to do is stamp each page, wrap it up, and give it as a gift. I made three of these in one sitting and it didn't take much time at all!

I will let you enjoy the pictures!

Sunday School Gifts

Take a close look at these notebooks....can you tell what type of notebook they are? These are compositions notebooks cut in half! My mom came up with this great idea and shared it with me. I love the size and they look adorable after they are covered.

These two notebooks were made for a couple of girls in my Sunday School class for doing their homework each week. They seemed to like them when I gave them to them!

It is so much fun to make things for other people. These would make great Christmas gifts or Birthday gifts!

Fox and Friends: Thank You

Just as I promised, here are the cards that I made her.

Now this is a Britni design. I love when I can say that. I just sat down with the paper, stamps, and stamp pads and created. I love when it all comes together.

I knew she would need some thank yous for the shower or even after the baby comes. This is a great gift to help out a new mother. Homemade cards are always the most fun to send, too!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Fox and Friends: Baby Gift

Here is a picture of a baby gift that I gave to a friend of mine a couple months ago. Her nursery theme was a woodland theme so I knew this Fox and Friends stamp set would work perfect. I also used colors that coordinated.

The great thing about this gift is that it will probably get used and it is okay if it gets stained and only worn a couple of times. This project doesn't take long to make, but they turn out adorable!

Come back on Friday to see the thank you cards I made to give her, too!

Just Believe

This stamp set has become one of my favorites from this current catalog. I have used it a lot and it can be used for so many different occasions.

I was inspired by a card that I saw on another blog to make this card. I changed the colors to fit what I had in my supply closet.

I used Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, and Garden Green for this card. I also used my Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder with my Big Shot. My favorite part is the new punch that is in the middle of this card. It is called Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border. I like it because it is a little different than just the scallop borders we have been using for awhile It just gives it a little different look.

Thank you so much for stopping by again! Have a wonderful week!

Little Pumpkin

I love this stamp set, Greeting Card Kids! I found out I was having a girl and just knew I had to get this set. I know I will use it a lot. The great thing about this set is that it features several different holidays.

Now, this card looks a little like Halloween, but with the big pumpkin it could still be Thanksgiving. I even used this card the other day as a thank you card. I love how versatile it can be!

As you can see there is nothing too complicated about this card with the Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie. I then also used Crumb Cake which is a Top Note cut in half!

Check this set out in the catalog. You just might have to have it! It is adorable. :)

Georgia's Swap

Awhile ago I attended a meeting with several other stamping demonstrators. Those meetings are always very informative and fun! We usually make some fun projects, see some new and exciting ideas/techniques/products!

There is usually a swap that takes place and this time I did not take part in it, but my wonderful upline, Georgia, had an extra and she shared it with me. She did a lot of work on this card as you can see. She cut the tree and the bear. She embossed with her Big Shot the background. I think her card turned out adorable! If you look closely you can see she also used jewels! She used the Basic Pearls on the tree as ornaments and the bear is also holding one. What a great way to use those!

Thanks for such a great idea, Georgia!

Flores Suave - Spanish Catalog

This card was inspired by a card I made at a stamp fair awhile ago. I did change it a little and added my own touch to it.

The stamp set featured on this card is from our Spanish catalog called Flores Suave. I love this stamp set! The details in it are so pretty.

For this card I also used my heart punch, Eyelet Border punch, and our wonderful jewels! I love our jewels. For this one I used the Basic Rhinestone. The best part is that the sticky is already on the back of the jewel so you just carefully stick it to the card. They seem to stay on there nicely, too! I just can't get enough of these.

Have a wonderful week!

Cut In Half

This was a fun and different project to try. I have seen this idea several times on different blogs. All you need is a small notepad and cut it in half. I had my husband use his saw to cut it for me.

I then used some DSP (this is a retired DSP) to cover this outside and a little on the inside. That was all it needed! Now it is ready for lists of any kind.

Don't forget that when you are doing projects like this that will get a lot of wear and tear you will want to use a stronger adhesive such as sticky strip. When it doubt use something strong! That way you won't be disappointed later on.

Thank you so much for stopping by this week. I hope you enjoyed all the ideas!

Thanksgiving Card

I love this stamp set-Harvest Home- that was featured in the catalog last year and was still in there this year! I just had to use it again.

For this card I used Always Artichoke, More Mustard, and Crumb Cake. This is a basic card, but with the layers and placement of the stamps it makes it unique. I also added a build-a-brad for a little extra touch.

You have some time to get your Thanksgiving cards done, but don't wait too long!

Haunting Hill

WOW! It is so nice to be back. I can't believe I was away from my blog for so long.

I thought I better get this idea out there quickly since Halloween will be here and gone before we knot it. This image is actually a wheel in the regular catalog. I just colored in a few images to add a little extra, but you could just keep it all black and white.

You can kind of see that with the black I did run it through my Big Shot to give it some texture with the diamond texture plate.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Baby Thank You

I was asked to design a thank you card for one of my pregnant friends. She wanted a few really nice home made cards to send some thank yous out after a shower.

This is what I came up with. I used the Baby Bundle (I sure am getting my use out of this set)! I also used Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery for the colors. I love those two colors together. I used my scallop edge punch and corner rounder punch. I also added some brads and a little paper piercing at the bottom of the card.

She was very pleased with the result and I liked it so much that I made some for myself!

Thanks for stopping by again today. I hope you enjoyed this sample. Don't forget that you can always change the image and you have a different kind of thank, birthday, or any occasion card!
