Baja Breeze Top Note

Have I told you lately that I love this stamp set? Well if not then I am here to say that this set is my favorite. Now don't panic....if you have looked at a new catalog it is not in there, but it is on the dormant list. What is a dormant list you ask? It is a list of stamps that are still available to be purchased, but are not in the catalog.

This card was designed by my upline Georgia. I made this card at her make and take. I was very excited how well the colors went together with this card. This card uses Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White. How simple, but the extra details (Top Note from the Big Shot, Jumbo Eyelet, and ribbon) really make the difference.

Thanks for the great inspiration Georgia!!! Looks great! It is always fun to get new and fresh ideas from other people.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my sample. I hope to see all of you on Saturday!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

New Catalog Bash Make and Take

Hello Stampers! Do you like this card? Well, you could come and make this card if you come to my New Catalog Bash this Saturday from 10-3 at my house.

For this card I used the new set called Petal Pizazz and the old set called Fundamental Phrases. The colors I used were Cameo Coral, Not Quite Navy, and Whisper White. I kept it simple, but I thought it turned out great. For the first card I used some brads to enhance the flowers. For the second card I used my two-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds (I'm not sure if
you can tell).

Also with this card I used my Big Shot and the Top Note Die for the Whisper White and Cameo Coral layers. That means if you come on Saturday you will get a chance to cut out your own Top Notes using the Big Shot!

Have a wonderful day! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Stamped Birdhouse

When Justin gets involved in my stamping I get excited! It is not often that he is interested or wants to help. Well, he found the pieces for this birdhouse in our basement and decided to put it together. Then he thought we could stamp on it. So, I went to my mother-in-law's house to borrow her Craft Stampin' Spots.

We then dug out several of my stamp sets and stamped every side of this birdhouse.

This would be a great project to do with kids or a family project. I thought it turned out really cute and it will actually work as a birdhouse this summer. He is going to seal it eventually just to be safe before we put it outside for awhile.

Be Creative and see what you can come up with! Britni :)

Raspberry Tart Baskets

Hello Stampers! Well, I am still without internet so I hope I can stay on top of this blog this week. I am hanging out at my mom and dad's right now trying to catch up on everything.

Today's sample is using the Big Shot and the Basket and Blooms Die. These baskets are so easy to make that when I get started I make several at a time. For these baskets I used the beautiful and new DSP, Raspberry Tart.

If you come to my New Catalog Bash this Saturday from 10-3 then you will get a chance to win one of these with some goodies inside.

I hope to see all of you there. I will be offering the great Sale-A-Bration deal that when you spend $50 you get a free SAB stamp set. Also, when you spend $25 you can purchase a catalog for $5. Would you rather have a FREE catalog? You can either join Card Club or book a workshop with me.

I hope you have enjoyed my sample today. I hope to see all of you this Saturday at my house!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Florida!!!

I wanted to share a few pictures from our vacation to Florida. As you can see I had to go buy a sweatshirt to keep warm most of the days. Finally by Sunday we could walk on the beach in our swimsuits. It was wonderful. We had a great time walking along the beach and checking out the pelicans!
They were fun to watch while they caught their fish.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Don't Forget

The elephant isn't going to forget and I hope you don't either - to make your valentines.

Valentine's Day is about here and I hope you have your valentines ready to be mailed to all your loved ones. This card was so much fun to make. I got to make this card at my upline's Make and Take at the beginning of the month. For this card we used the Aqua painter and our stamp pads to paint the image. I love how the water coloring technique looks. It gives the card a soft look. The stamp set used is called Happy Heart Day. I also love the Riding Hood Red ribbon with this card. Check out the ribbon in the new catalog, this ribbon comes in other colors and there is also some new ribbons!

For this card we also used the two different tag punches and a gold brad to attach it to the card. The scallop at the bottom was also a nice touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Happiness

Hello Stampers! It is nice to be back, but my internet is out which makes getting work done a little difficult.

I wanted to give you a quick look at another sample using the new stamp set Petal Pizazz and the great Designer Series Paper, Raspberry Tart. I kept this card very simple, but it turned out very nicely. I also used the set Heard From The Heart, but only colored in the part that I wanted.

The colors I used for this card were Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, and Pink Pirouette.

There are some really great new DSPs such as the one I have used on this card in our new catalog. I love that our DSP is doubled sided so that when you make different projects you can choose which side and it is even better with projects that both sides show.

Thank you for stopping by today. I'm sorry I can't provide more, but until I get my internet back I can't spend a lot of time on here.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Pun's From the Past

Hello Stampers! Today I am demonstrating a way to make your stamps even more useful. I saw this idea using this same stamp set on another blog. After I saw this I knew I had to have this set. I like this set, but I knew I wouldn't always want to use the words. I know we can color the stamp, etc so that the words don't show up, but sometimes that doesn't always work if the stamp is not completely clean.

Here is a great way to put the words wherever you want. This set is called Puns From the Past (okay so I had to ask my mom what some of them meant...I guess I am a little young for some of them. haha)

As you can see from this picture I placed the fan on the back of the block and the words I cut apart from the fan and placed them on the side. I love that that way I can put the words elsewhere or not use them at all.

You can see more clearly how I did this and where I put the sticker. This is a great idea that would work for other sets such as Pun Fun and any others that have words right with the picture.

I hope you are having a wonderful week. Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Enjoy!

Wow! Look at this card design! This card was a lot of fun to make and I love the different elements of it. I also made this card at my upline's make and take. For this card we used the stamp set called Enjoy Every Moment. I have seen a lot of different cards made with this set. This is one that is on my wish list!

For this card we used Old Olive, Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. Now these are colors that I would not think to put together, but I love how they look when you do. This is a good challenge for everyone...tries colors that we don't usually put together. It is a lot of fun to see the results.

Also, with this card we used a Build-A-Brad in the middle of the "o" and I love how it really makes the words pop and gives it one element. The second element is the ribbon at the bottom. All you do is tie the ribbon and then attach it to the card using a Glue Dot. How simple, but it gives it a very different look.

I hope you have enjoyed my blog today. Have a wonderful day!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Stamping Coasters

FYI: I am on my way home today from Florida. That means if you want to get your hands on a catalog I will be more than happy to get one to you. You can also wait for my New Catalog Bash on the 31st, but if you can't wait that long please leave me a comment. We have a had a great time in Florida, but it is always good to get home. I loved having the wind on my face, though! I will post some fun pictures later this week!

Hello Stampers! With this new year I am really wanting to offer more classes and a variety of classes. I know that a person can use a lot of card, but I also know doing other projects would be nice, too. Some ideas that are going through my head: Have a class to alter composition notebooks and/or clipboards using a Simply Scrappin' Kit, Have a scrapbook class and/or do some scrapbook pages at make and takes, and another idea would be what I am featuring today!

I was privileged enough to attend my wonderful upline's make and take this month. It is always great to learn new ideas from her. She is very talented. One of the reasons I wanted to go to this make and take was so that I could learn how to stamp on tiles to make beautiful coasters. I was even more excited when I learned how easy it was to do.

The first step to stamping on coasters is to go to a hardware store and buy some tiles. Then you need your favorite stamp set and either StazOn ink or Craft Ink. Then you are able to stamp the images directly onto the tile. The good thing is that if you make a mistake you can use the StazOn cleaner to remove the image and start over again! Then once you are finished stamping, take your tiles and place them in the oven for 10 minutes to bake them. Then you need to spray them with clear sealer/paint (not real sure what it is called) so that they will not run and are nice and sealed.

Now on to my pictures. I decided to make several different designs for my coasters because I liked too many. I used my Inspired by Nature stamp set and Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, and Garden Green Craft Stampin' Spots.

I used Upsy Daisy stamp set and Perfect Plum Craft Stampin' Spot for my next coaster

Now for my last coaster you can see that I did not use all Stampin' Up stamp sets, but I still had to share it. As I stamped my coasters and thought about how I could use them I decided that Justin needed one. Georgia just happened to have a Harley stamp and an old SU motorcycle stamp set. I love how it turned out!

I hope you have enjoyed this idea. It is easy and fun! I would love to have a class that featured stamping coasters. Let me know if you would be interested in a class like that, too.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Before you go though, take a look at this great new stamp set. It is called Petal Pizzaz. The variety of flowers in this one set is great and I also love how you can layer the flowers. The colors I used for this card were So Saffron, Ballet Blue, and Whisper White. I also used Vintage Brads and Fundamental Phrases stamp set.

Have fun shopping and don't forget that you can call, e-mail, or shop online to place an order. I will be having a New Catalog Bash on January 31st if you would like to wait and see a real catalog and order then.

The Penny Card

Hello Stampers! Today I am here to share a really fun card with you. I got this idea from my upline, Georgia. She did this at a Make and Take I attended last year. You can't get the full effect of this card unless you see it in person, but I will try and explain it the best I can.

See that rocket on the top of the card? Well, it moves...there are two pennies connected with dimensionals and the rocket rolls across the top of the card through the whole that was punched using the Picture Window Punch. It is so much fun and any child and possibly adult would love to get this type of card.

For this card I had a young boy in mind. I decided to use the rocket and so the stars seemed to work with that same idea. the stars are from the set called Starring You and the birthday greeting is, too. I layered this card with bright, vibrant colors. I started with Brilliant Blue, and then added Yo Yo Yellow and Tempting Turquoise. I used all those colors in the rocket. I love how all the colors and stamp sets came together to make a great card.

If you would like more information on this card please let me know. I would love to show you how this card works. Have a wonderful day!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Bloom

As a demonstrator, from time to time I get to choose some free stamp sets. This is a set that I decided to get. It was one that I thought would be something different than I would usually choose, but that my customers might really like.

Well, when I stamped this flower I fell in love. The details in this stamp are absolutely beautiful. This flower is from the set called Bloomin' Beautiful. For this card I used Cameo Coral, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, and Whisper White. I love the layering with the Top Note from my Big Shot. It helps give it the dimension it needed, but kept it simple. I didn't want to add anything to the card that would take away from the flower. I'm not sure if you can see it, but I did use my distressing tool around the flower and rubbed some Cameo Coral around the edges.

I hope you have enjoyed this flower as much as I have. It is a beautiful flower that could be used for many different occasions.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Sock Monkey Hearts You

Today I wanted to share another valentine idea with you. For this card I decided to use the Sock Monkey set. When you order the Sock Monkey he comes with this great heart. Doesn't he look so happy to be sending someone this heart? He is adorable!

This card was very basic with colors because I just kept layering the different colors. I started with Riding Hood Red for the background. I then used some Pink Pirouette and my Scallop Edge Punch. I then layered the Riding Hood Red again around the Sock Monkey which is on the Pink Pirouette. Then all I had to color was the Riding Hood Red on the monkey. I used my Classic Stamp Pad and an Aqua Painter to color him in. For the heart I stamped it directly onto Riding Hood Red and cut around it. At the bottom of the card I added three brads to just add another element to the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. How are your valentines coming along. It will be here sooner than we think.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Birthday Money Holder

Hello Stampers! I have one more sample that features the great paper Prestwick.

For this card I used the Open End Kraft envelopes. I love the versatility of this type of envelope. You can fold it in half to make a cute folded card, you can make a different size of card, or you can make the envelope itself into a card like I did with this sample.

For this card I covered the front using some DSP. I then used this great birthday set called Starring You. I love this set because it works really well for a boy or even a pre-teenage boy birthday. I kept it simple by using the circle punch around my image and layering it with squares.

With our Designer Series Paper it is easy to coordinate papers because in the catalog it tells you exactly what colors are in the paper. The process is easy, all you need to do is create.

For the back of the envelope card I stamped a lot. I had a lot of fun stamping the stars and a small greeting on the back.

Use your imagination with these open end envelopes and see what you can come up with.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having fun creating.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Build-A-Brad Valentine

FYI: Ladies I am off to sunny Florida today! Let's just say I am very excited!!! I just wanted to let you know so that if you e-mail me it may take longer for me to get back to you. I won't be able to have internet access 24/7 like I do now. You can also try calling me, but I may not always have my phone with me. I will get back to you either way as soon as possible. Thanks!

Hello Stampers! I hope you have enjoyed all my Valentine's Day ideas. Here is yet another valentine card using the Bella Rose DSP. This card was inspired by a card I saw on the Stampin' Up Demonstrator website. SU provides us with five new card ideas daily. It is a great way to keep fresh ideas.

With the Bella Rose DSP I cut a square and then cut it in half so that I could have a point to place my Build-A-Brad at the end. Once I fell in love with this paper I had to get the stamp set that matches it. It is called Bella's Bloom. The small flower in the middle of the Build-A-Brad is part of this set. Have you used the Build-A-Brad before? If not, let me know and I will show you how quick and easy it is to add to many proejcts. Around the other flower I used my Ticket Corner Punch.

The other wonderful thing about our DSP is that you get 12 sheets that are doubled sided. You get 6 different designs to choose from for your projects. Now you can see that I made two different cards and that valentine box using it. I used these all for my Card Club so I made 10 boxes and 20 cards. I even had paper left over when I was done. You can really make the paper go a long ways if you want it to.

I hope you will be inspired by some of my ideas. Have fun creating for Valentine's Day! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Bella Valentine

As I promised here is a valentine using Bella Rose DSP. I decided to use my Big Shot Top Note for this card. I use that Top Note a lot, but it makes cards quick and easy and just really adds another element to the cards. For this card I also tied the same ribbon that was on the box yesterday around the Top Note. I decided to use the mail box for this card from Love Owl-Ways stamp set. I then used my Aqua painter to color them in to keep a soft look. I then stamped the words from that set at the bottom of the card.

This would be an easy card to make several at one time. The painting of the image doesn't take long since you don't have to change colors too many times.

If I ever talk about a technique or product that you would like to know more about please let me know. I would love to answer your questions or even show you in person how it all works.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to stop by tomorrow and see another Bella Rose DSP valentine. I told you, I love this paper!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Valentine Treat Box

Here is a quick and easy treat box to make for all those Valentine's Day chocolates. I have attached the directions which I found on Splitcoast.
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/2_5_7_10_box/

For my box I used Bella Rose Designer Series Paper. At first I was not in love with this paper, but a lot of my customers kept ordering it so I decided to order it. I love this paper. It is very beautiful!

I also used the Love-Owl Ways stamp set. The hearts are cute and simple. I didn't want to take away from the paper and the Pink Pirouette ribbon.

So, I have to say thank you to all my customers that kept ordering this paper. You were my inspiration to get this beautiful paper. I plan to get more DSP in the new year because the catalog doesn't do it any justice. I want you to be able to see it and how great it can look with different projects. I will be featuring cards using this Bella Rose DSP in the next couple of days.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

XOXOXO

Hello Stampers! I have another valentine idea for you. This is a stamp set called A Happy Heart which is also in the Mini Catalog.

When I first saw this set I loved this tic-tac-toe game going on. The hearts are very cute. For this card I was inspired by another card I saw using these colors. I love how the Basic Black and Real Red pop with the Whisper White. You can see I just continued to layer those colors over and over. The punch I used was the Curly Label Punch from the Curly Label Punch bundle.

Have you created any valentines yet? I would love to see what you have come up with.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Love Delivery

New Catalog Update!!!! Hello Ladies! I am so excited. There are some top demonstrators enjoying themselves in Florida right now, but they have also taken some time to pass on some really great news about the new catalog. I will list below just a few things I have either read about or seen in a picture:
1. Digital Scrapbooking, I hear it is easy to use!
2. a new dog set (Crystal, get excited!)
3. Awesome new leaves and trees
4. More Punches!!!
5. More Big Shot dies, even better than before!
6. A great house stamp! (Aunt Bonnie, you and your friend will love it)
7. More colors for rub-ons
8. Flower Brads
9. Ric Rac Ribbon! (Mom, you will love this!)
10. Clear Rhinestone Brads
11. A ton of new Decor Elements and stencils
12. A circle cutter that works and is easy to use!!!
13. And all the new stamp sets...what I have seen are awesome....Justin will have to hold me back!

These are just a few of things...there will be something for everyone! I can't wait!!!

On to the sample for the day....
I think it is time to start thinking about Valentine's Day and what better way than to make some wonderful home made cards. This stamp set, Love Owl-Ways, is adorable and it is in the mini catalog which means that it could disappear after January 18th. Get it while you still can.

For this card I did a Mini Catalog Re-make. I want to emphasis how great of a resource all of Stampin' Up's brochures and catalogs can be. I love to look through my catalog because I see something new EVERY time. When I was deciding what to do for my make and take today I decided to check out my mini catalog and I found this card and I knew I had to make it. It is adorable!

This card was very simple to make. I used Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Whisper White. For the mailbox, and owl I used my Aqua painters. I also used dimensionals behind the owl. I love the grass on this card and the little message on the grass. This is a very cute card, but I probably wouldn't have thought of it on my own. When you are having trouble creating, just take a minute and look through your catalog. I even save my old catalogs and glance through them from time to time.

Have fun creating old and new cards! Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Two Ways

Hello Stampers. Today I am providing a way to make the same card different. I find it very easy to create cards for females. Now for those guys in our lives that is a little harder. For these cards I used the same fold and size of the stamped images, but one is for a male and the other for a female.

For the first card, I used Garden Green and Night of Navy because I wanted to use the Prestwick Designer Series Paper. Prestwick is a very masculine set of paper. I used the stamp set called Nature Silhouettes. I usually buy a stamp set for the entire set and this is one of those that I loved every stamp in this set. Check it out on page 107 of the catalog. I used my markers to colore on the stamp and then stamped it on the Naturals Ivory paper. I added a Black Brad from the Vintage Brads to the top of the card.

Now for the second card you can see that I used the same layout for this card. I used Chocolate Chip for the background and Rose Red for the Desginer Series Paper. I then used another sillouette set for this card, Inspired by Nature (check it out on page 100). This set is officially my favorite set right now! I colored the stamp with my markers then layed the paper on the stamp and rubbed it to get all the ink onto the paper. I knew it needed something else, but I wanted to keep it similar to the other card so instead of a brad I added some sparkles!!! I thought it really made the card pop. To apply the sparkles I used my Two-Way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds.

Now, I want to see what you can do with this layout. Have fun and create something fun.

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Raspberry Tart Calendar

Alright stampers...I couldn't wait any longer to show you something that will be in the new catalog. Don't forget that the new catalog will be here soon!

This project was inspired by a a coaster calendar that I saw my upline, Georgia make. I got my calendar from a pizza place that had them sitting there to take for free. I just tore off the part that had the pizza logo on it and used the rest of it for my project. I took out the staples and replaced them with brads which I thought was a nice touch.

Now I know you are asking me what is new in this project...take a closer look to the beautiful paper. It is called Raspberry Tart and it will be in the new catalog. I love this paper!!! I used Modge Podge to attach the paper to some square coasters. I then added some Kiwi Kiss paper behind the calendar to add another color.

A the top of the coaster I added Jumbo Eyelets using my Crop-A-Dile and put Kiwi Kiss Ribbon through them to attach the two coasters together.

Wouldn't this be a great calendar sitting by your computer at home or work, or even in the kitchen, or by the phone. You could always coordinate your paper depending on where you want to put your calendar.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peek into the new catalog!!!

Happy Stamping! Britni :)

Inspired By Nature Framed Art

Oh, I love feeling like an artist. I think that is what I love so much about stamping. I have always wanted to be good at Art, but I'm not talented at drawing, painting, etc. So, when I discovered that with stamping I could produce beautiful pieces I was very excited. This was something that made me feel like an artist.

For this project I dug out a frame that I had in my cupboard ever since I moved in and I know it lived under my bed years before that.

The first step I did was to color my flowers using Not Quite Navy, Garden Green, and Chocolate Chip. I stamped them on the Whisper White. I then decided that it needed a little more so I used Old Olive to stamp some grass with the flowers. I then layered the flowers on Chocolate Chip and some Prestwick Designer Series Paper, don't forget that if you want some of this paper, it might be gone when the new catalog comes out so get it while you still can.

For the frame around the picture I wanted to make it coordinate a little better because it was more of a cream color rather than white. So, I used my Stamping Sponges to sponge all the colors onto the frame that I used in the flower picture. Then I wanted to add some words so I stamped the words, framed it, and then added it to the sponged area.

You could make something just as beautiful as this. Just take some time to create and make yourself an artist!

Happy Creating! Britni :)

Penguin Card

This samples was inspired by several other penguin cards I saw on my daily blog surfing.

I knew I had to make this card when I saw it...the penguin is adorable and I knew Julia would want to see it on my blog! :)

For this penguin it was simple and quick. I used Real Red for the background. I then used the Top Note layering like I did on my card a couple days ago. For his eyes I used my 1" circle punch. For his arms I used the scraps I had left over after cutting out the Basic Black Top Note. For his beak I used Only Orange, cut out a rectangle, and then used my Tag Corner Punch to help me get the end pointy. For his cute little feet I used my Curly Label Punch which is part of the Curly Label Punch Bundle. I thought his feet were the cutest part of the card. I then added a little Real Red ribbon around his belly. This is a great card for any occasion this winter. It is also a card that is easy to make several at one time.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a wonderful week!

Keychain

Have you been trying to think of other ways to incorporate stamping into more of your gift giving. Here is another idea to help you start brainstorming. I find myself thinking more often...how could I stamp on that? What could I do to change that or even better...I could do that.

For this simple gift I used a key-chain. You can find these clear picture key-chains at many different stores.

I used my Inspired By Nature stamp set to help me with this great project. I used my markers to color just the one small flower that I wanted for the front. I stamped it onto the Kraft paper and also used my Fundamental Phrases set to stamp Friend.

TIP: When stamping from a large stamp and you only want part of it...you need to place the paper onto the stamp rather than the stamp on the paper. You just need to make sure you rub the whole area before pick up the paper. (If you would like to try this technique come to my January Make and Take.)

I layered the Kraft with Taken with Teal and Rose Red. These colors look great together and are both in the Earth Elements Family. Don't forget that Stampin' Up makes it easy to coordinate colors with our color families.

For the back of the key-chain I stamped another flower from that same stamp and stamped it onto the back of the Taken with Teal I used on the front.

This is such a simple idea that I saw on another blog and I said to myself, why didn't I think of that? I find myself saying that a lot!

I hope you enjoyed this great gift giving idea.

Happy Birthday Card and Envelope

My sample today was a card that I designed for the craft day I had with my Grandma and my aunts. We had a lot of fun making cards and relaxing.

This card was actually inspired by the envelope. I wanted to use some more of my open end Kraft envelopes. They are fun and different than just a normal envelope. Since the envelope is a different shape then of course the card would need to be a different shape, too.

I kept the card simple by a little stamping and coloring.

I then of course wanted to coordinate the envelope like I usually do. On the front I did a little stamping and on the back I coordinated it with the card. I stamped the same cupcakes and colored them in.

The colors I used for this card were Regal Rose, Ballet Blue, and Bravo Burgundy. I also used a Rhinestone Brad to top off the top cupcake.

I hope you enjoyed my sample today. It was a little different than many other cards I have done. Have fun and see what you can come up with depending on your envelope.

Inspiration!

Hello Stampers! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Today's sample was inspired by a card that I received in the mail from my friend and upline, Georgia. I was designing some cards for a craft day with my aunts and Grandma. I loved the simple layering of the Top Note. I also thought that the embossing on Georgia's card really topped it off. it made her words just pop.

For my card, I wanted to keep it simple and quick so I didn't use the embossing. For my card I used the stars from the stamp set Starstruck, which is retiring. This set works great with Build-A-Brads, too. I used VersaMark for the stars on the background, Taken with Teal and the Rose Red. For the Top Note I used my Big Shot to cut out one in each color, So Saffron and Rose Red. I then trimmed the Rose Red along the dotted edge that is already there. It makes the process very easy. I then used my Heard From the Heart stamp set to stamp my message. I have found that in the last 6 months I have really used this stamp set a lot. It is very versatile and if you don't have it, it would be a good one to have on your wish list.

If you have any questions about either card please ask. Thanks for stopping by today!

Love Banner

Happy New Year, again! I just wanted to tell you that all again! I hope you all had a wonderful 2008, but are ready for 2009.

Well, I wanted to show you how I spent the first day of the new year. Justin and I spent the night at my friend and upline, Georgia and Rocky's house. We had a blast playing games and eating popcorn (yum). Well, the next day we woke up and Georgia thought it would be a good idea to get crafty and you know me...I'm not going to turn her down. So, off we went to the fabric store. We picked out some really great Valentine's day fabric and got to work.

When we got back to her house we got out her Big Shot! Yes, the Big Shot will cut through fabric. We were able to cut out pennants, scallop circles, and letters all using the Big Shot. Then the big question came...should we sew or glue? Well, we decided to glue.

As you can see we did a lot of layering and I am happy that we did. Our original idea was a lot different from what we ended up with. Georgia and I chose to make each of our banners a little different. I wanted the extra hearts so I used the pink scallop circle with hearts and she wanted the red to layer. We connected our pennants using more of the small scallop circles and to tie all of our colors together we coordinated those with the ones we placed at the bottom.

What better way to spend the first day of the new year. We had a lot of fun creating!

I hope you enjoyed what we created. This is just yet another great project you can make using the Big Shot. Don't forget....you can always host a Big Shot party at your house and projects like this and many others would be featured. You would even get to keep some of them!

Happy Creating! Britni :)
